i think i had covid (again wtf???) still on the mend, currently dealing with my uterus fucking with me cuz it always happens when i get sick in any way, cravings are kicking my ass and making eating difficult but im trying my best♡ learning first hand how important just resting is, i dunno when i'll have new stuff to post rn tho, but yea, just resting and taking care of myself as best i can rn♡

welp, still recovering from being sick, but looking at how things are all halloween plans are canceled ; - ;

no jack o' lantern show, no pumpkin patch visit, no haunted houses, like i've barely been able to do anything halloweeny this year. so i'm gonna go cry and take a nap, hopefully i'll feel better when i wake up♡

Not long ago, I had a counselor who told me to “never let anyone ‘should’ all over you.”

I think about it every day.

You should be in high school! You should be functioning! You should attend college normally! You should have friends! You should smile more! You should love life and want to live it…!

For almost all my life, those exact questions plagued me. I didn’t now how to counter them. “Should” is a damn powerful word, and one that can easily be weaponized. Should you say thank you when someone gives ya something? Sure, you “should”— but there’s other ways to show appreciation for those who have trouble communicating that (a mile, a nod, or even a thank you later that day). People have different needs, different accommodations, different standards for their own life. Society is a bitch that will pressure folks into needing to fit in, to be a square peg in the flawless circle. But there’s still a place for those square, or triangle, or any other shape that needs it.

I couldn’t finish high school normally, but I still graduated.

I can’t live at school, but I still get my lessons.

I don’t have many friends, but I have a few who really count.

I don’t smile much, but it matters when I do.

I don’t always love life, but I cherish it when I do.

I don’t always want to live my life, but I don’t want any other.
