Can i get headcanons where there's a new human in the base, she's really emotionally closed off because she was abused. She catches Ratchet eye when she would flinch from time to time when someone quickly approaches her or raises their hand. He eventually confronts her bout it and she opens up. He immediately becomes very protective over her and officially becomes her guardian. The other bots are shocked because they're not used to Ratchet being like that over a human. Can you make it long please
I made it as long as I could without going too off topic
â˘You ended up with the bots for the same reason the trouble trio did, you saw one of the bots in their robot mode and it kinda went from there
â˘Ratchet was of course like âanother one!?!?â and was kinda annoyed that he had one more human to babysit
â˘But he starts to notice little things about you, like how you flinch when he raises his hand too quickly and how you donât really like people moving too fast towards you in general, or how you look like youâre about to cry when he raises his voice
â˘When Ratchet confronts you about it, asking why you react this way, you break down and start sobbing about your crappy home situation
â˘Ratchet doesnât really know what to do/say at first, because obviously he has never encountered a situation like this before
â˘But while you sit on the couch and cry, he rubs your back and is like âthere, thereâ trying to comfort you, but he is kinda awkward at it
â˘Ratchet takes you under his wing after that and you end up spending a lot of time at the base
â˘He is there to listen anytime you need it and you sit on his shoulder and just talk, even if itâs not anything deep or super emotionally involved, he listens and gives advice
â˘Pretty soon after you tell him what has been going on, he just tells you that you need a guardian and he is the one taking that job
â˘He obviously doesnât make a big deal out of it
â˘Optimus was the only one who expected this turn of events, because he knows Ratchet well, and when he overheard the two of you talking earlier he knew you had hit Ratchetâs soft spot
Okay I love this
Mute
Pairing: Soundwave (Transformers Prime) X Gender Neutral!Reader - Part 1
Warnings: None
The breath entering your lungs was cold and harsh, moving too fast to really breathe as you sprinted down a quiet street. Quiet meaning there was less of the bustling city life, not that it was silent. No, it was quite loud actually. Heavy metal clashing against itself, hot ammunition whizzing through the air, and your heartbeat in your ears.
This was supposed to be a recon mission, but something went wrong. Communications went offline as soon as the groundbridge closed and your small group were left with a less than welcoming group of cons. The fighting had started immediately, and youâd ducked behind a large rock for cover while you scouted escape routes. None. This was an ambush theyâd planned well.
A futile attempt at contacting Ratchet for backup had you a little more than anxious. Youâd never seen the bots in battle and you werenât entirely sure what to do. Should you help? Would you just get in the way? You figured a tiny human against even a single Decepticon was laughable, and you focused on trying to get away to find actual help. Your only real option was to book it, so thatâs where you found yourself.
The area wasnât too familiar to you, but you followed the roads in hope theyâd take you to a building far enough away from whatever was jamming the comms. If you could just get your coordinates to the computers at base, you were sure someone would take the hint. Your legs werenât going to last much longer, and you knew that, but you continued. Quitting wasnât an option.
However, through your blind running, you missed the large figure further up the street you were on. It was difficult to make out when you did end up noticing, so you blew it off as an awkward street light. âPerfect!â you thought, âLights mean I should be getting close to something.â But, as you got closer, you realized your mistake. You barely had time to let out a wheeze of surprise before the slender, faceless âcon noticed you as well.
At first, neither of you moved. You had skid to a stop, your legs freezing up and refusing to move. From fear or overuse, you couldnât tell. Soundwave seemed to be analyzing the situation; probably trying to see if you were even worth the hassle. Heâd apparently decided so as he took a large step towards you, leaning just a little with the intent to grab you.
Still not able to run, you threw yourself down and rolled away from the servo. Managing to push yourself onto your haunches, you got ready to leap from another attempt. One that never came. Instead, he crouched, holding out his hand similar to how one would do for an animal. You could only give him a confused and cautious look as he pressed closer.Â
The both of you stayed like that for a little bit, and it was only until he played a small clip asking you to come that you dropped your guard. The audio sounded familiar, like it came from an older childrenâs movie.
âCan I say no?â
The Cybertronian was still for a moment, seeming to mull the idea over. With a nod he slightly withdrew his hand, keeping the offer open but giving you a window to decline. Hesitantly, you pulled yourself up, and genuinely considered the idea. Maybe you could get intel you originally came out here for. The Decepticon eyes and ears wasnât completely predictable, so you questioned his authenticity here.
âWhere are you going to take me?â
The bot pointed up, referring to the Nemesis, although it wasnât visible to you now.
Pursing your lips you tried again, âWhat are you going to do with me if i go?â You wanted his word for it so you had someone other than yourself to blame if this went south.
Obviously struggling to communicate his intentions, Soundwave impatiently pushed his hand forward, insisting you just comply. Which, surprising even yourself, you did. Part of you argued it was for information, but deep down you were curious. If you left now, youâd wonder your whole life what the mute âcon had wanted - if it wasnât to kill you.
Awkwardly clambering into his steady servo, he pulled you up to rest on his shoulder before seemingly changing his mind, opening a cavity in his chest and placing you there. You had almost objected, but it seemed comfortable enough. A little cramped, but there was a seat you imagined came from his alt mode, and you sat yourself down. The sway of his body as he walked was disturbingly comforting, but he transformed suddenly and startled you. Kicking the nearest âwallâ, he took the hint and gave an apologetic whir.

Pairing: Human!Finn McMissle (Cars 2) X Gender neutral!Reader
Warning: Character death
Finn knew this was somewhat his fault. Heâd gotten too ambitious and compromised the mission. He thoughtâŚwell, he just thought. Oh, man, how he hated what this was going to do to you.
With a grunt, he pushed himself higher against the wall he was resting on. The gash in his side screamed in protest and made it hard to breathe, but he ignored it. It was the least he could do as he reached for his phone. Dangerous to have with him in the first place, but it was there for you. To make sure you were okay, and for you to call him in the case of emergencies. He briefly considered calling for help; for the agency, or maybe Sid. No, he thought. Too dangerous, he didnât want to put anyone else in jeopardy, and a part of him knew the help wouldn't show up in time.
Instead, he called you. His world was fading and he wanted to hear your voice and a pang of guilt shot through him, sharper than the pain in his side, when you picked up almost immediately. He felt selfish and considered telling you the truth.
âHello?â Came your voice from the other end. You sounded as if heâd interrupted an activity, yet you still had all your attention on him.
Swallowing in an attempt to keep his voice steady, he answered, âEvening, dearest. Hope youâre not too busy?â
To be honest, he didnât want you to say youâd been doing anything. He wanted your focus in these last moments; not to mention how awful heâd feel for messing up plans.
ââCourse not, just making a late dinner. Is everything alright?â
âNo.â, âYes, of course. Felt you might be getting lonely; canât have you running off just yet.â
The laugh that flitted through his speakers warmed his heart. He hoped you werenât too distraught after this.
âIs that all? Well, I guess you should know Iâve been sleeping around. Hard not having a man around, a personâs got needs.â
He knew it was just a playful jab, but his heart sank. Not about you with other people, but the fact he wouldnât be around much longer.Â
Forcing a laugh heâd been trained to perfect, he switched the phone to his other ear; arm getting tired from blood loss. âMet my brother have you?â He didnât have a brother, and he didnât wait for you to bring another come back. âDarling, listen,â Hating how fast the line went silent, he continued, âYou need to start thinking of what to do without me.â
The silence continued for much longer than he wouldâve liked.
âWhat is this about, Finnley.â
His full name meant you were serious and he quickly decided letting anything on was a bad idea. âNothing, Iâm just saying if I donât come back,â adding quickly to the end, âOne day.â
âDonât scare me, Finn, youâre not going anywhere anytime soon.â
He couldâve laughed, given his current situation, but he was fading fast and he needed to wrap this up. âI love you.â
The two of you rarely said it. You, more often than him, but it was still reserved for when either of you really meant it. So, when you said it back as fast as you did, he was slightly taken aback. Or, he wouldâve been if he wasnât losing consciousness.
Heâd only barely managed to end the conversation with you before the phone slid from his hand and clattered to the floor. Leaning his head against the wall supporting him, he let sleep wash over him; fully aware he wasnât going to wake up. His only regret was letting you get close.

A Break

Pairing: Human!Finn McMissile (Cars 2) X Gender neutral!Reader
Being a highly renowned special agent, Finn never really got a chance to relax. When he did, however, he chose to spend the time with you; in your arms and with a hand raking through his surprisingly soft hair.
You didn't mind, of course, you loved being able to do this for your partner. He was always so tense about work, staying away from home for months at a time, and worrying about your well-being. For good reason, you pondered. The both of you recognized the risks of such a relationship in his line of work, and yet you still dove in headfirst. Not that it happened spontaneously; it was a long, hard road before you both made the leap.
A soft sigh escaped the man under you, drawing you from your reflections with a light smile. âI missed you, you know.â
He shifted uncomfortably; feeling guilty about his latest expedition that had left you alone for three months. Not the longest heâs been away, but it certainly made him wonder why you stayed.
âI wanted to be sure. If anything...If anyone had followed me and you got caught in the middle of something, I don't know what Iâd do.â He whispered, glancing up at you, meeting your gaze.
The sight hurt your heart; you could tell how much he cared, and you wished there was a way to ease his concerns. A little bit, at the very least.
Gently pushing a strand of hair over his head, you responded, âIâm not a piece of glass, Finnley. I'm sure Iâd be able to take care of myself. Especially with all the... modifications you've added to the cabin.â You tried to lighten the mood with a soft chuckle, but the way Finn tensed beneath you made you wonder if saying anything at all was a mistake.
âBut we⌠I don't know that for sure. What if something went wrong, what if the computers failed and... â The spy was interrupted by you leaning down to give him a reassuring kiss; mostly to prevent a panic attack, but also to stop the ramble of âwhat ifâsâ he was prone to.
âSorry.â Heâd apologised once you had pulled away.
You knew you didn't have to respond, and you didn't. You merely pulled him closer into your embrace to remind him you were still okay, and that you both still had each other. You weren't going anywhere anytime soon; although a part of him deep down knew that.
