I’m Definitely a Bird

while I’m on a role talking about designs, I wanna talk about my own and generalized ideas of what Horror looks like. Now, as I said in my last post, Sans is canonically fat, chubby, bulky, whatever. He is plus sized in some way. However, I wanna explain that I don’t think all aus nor takes on aus should have to follow that, I just see no point in UnderLust NOT following that. Aus like HorrorTale or Something New where Sans has a canonical or headcanoned reason why he cannot or doesn’t eat enough would make sense for Sans to be skinnier; Killer’s eating disorder and Horror being in a famine. The drawing of Horror on the left is one of my designs in one of my multiverses (simplified bc I’m lazy rn) and the designs on the right are closer to canon with a few of my own personal tweaks. Mostly just colors and socks but wtv. The thing about Horror is how often the fandom, including myself, take this shriveled starving man who hasn’t had a bite to eat in nearly a decade, and make him huge and bulking and very attractive— cough, anyway. Back on topic, when did that start?? Who decided this chud was a whole mountain, he’s literally withering away at about the stature of a malnourished twelve year old. I dunno, this isn’t really a design/headcanon critique like the UnderLust post, just something I always think about. Haha, definitely not important for a ship post later, ehem. I need to go to sleep haha. I’m just yapping about nothing right now T~T

Redesign of UnderLust Sans, Plum, because I find it kind of misogynistic how feminized his design is just because he’s in the freaky universe. Don’t get me wrong, I do like his design, and the actual design doesn’t lean very far into stereotypically feminine traits as much as the fanon style does, but it does still need tweaking in MY OPINION. The generally accepted design for Plum is having a curvy body, soft features, heels, leggings, and makeup, which are all conventional feminine traits. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, I just think we shouldn’t sexualize the idea of femininity rather than embracing the original UnderTale cast’s individual features. It would make sense for Papyrus to be drawn with heels and a slim waist since he has those or similar traits in game, but Sans is shorter and wider. Obviously not everyone has to make Sans a certain level of fat since it’s hard to gauge the exact body types of UnderTale characters, but he is very clearly designed with the intent of being at LEAST chubbier than the rest of the cast. I also wanted to use a little bit more of his actual color pallet. Obviously, it doesn’t automatically make everyone who draws Plum’s more well known design a misogynist, I myself will at times draw him like that because the design itself is cute, since that’s already widely accepted as how he looks. This is just little yap to use for future reference not to feminize all characters that are meant to be attractive. All body types can be sexy. <3

just got broken up with today over text while I was drawing these, and I felt like if I didn’t act like the cutesy style of what I was drawing was funny given what was happening that I might cry again, so can anyone who sees this just laugh with me? Maybe tell me a joke?
