She tripped over the body in her fancy little heels as she entered, nearly falling face first into the blood covered tiles. Luckily, she caught her footing. Instead, she just looked half of a fool instead of a whole one. Then she was greeted not very kindly as he pointed out her failure. ❝ Well, there was this puppy… ❞ she tried to explain her reason for being so late. If she hadn’t stopped to pet the adorable dog she would have gotten here first. She looked down at her shoes, sleek material covered in blood and a heavy sigh escaped her. This really wasn’t her day. She walked past the other assassin to go to the fridge, hopeing to find something interesting to take with her as a consolation prize.

There was a certain level of camaraderie that he kept with a few colleagues. It was rare, hardly ever came by, but it made the job much easier when it did. She was one of the select few that would not attempt to finish him off when he beat her to a target, and for that he is more concerned with her excuse than where her hands are at. ❛ A puppy? ❜ Questions Zorro, unimpressed by the whole ordeal. Shaking his head, he lets her walk by as he produces a handkerchief and wipes the blood off his blade. ❛ He was probably on a diet. ❜ Without taking his eyes off the weapon, he warns. ❛ Mind the blood. I don't want you leaving any tracks around. ❜ Finally, he sheathes the knife and looks her way. ❛ You got another job tonight or do you wanna get a drink? ❜

“Javier Bardem wishes.” Where before there had been the semblance of a frown on her lips as she perused a colorful exhibition catalog, the sound of his voice changes her entire demeanor. It is as if the sun itself has parted the umbrella that she has found shade under in this quaint corner of a small cafe patio. All at once, she gets up from from her seat on the patio of the small cafe as she leans in to greet him ( a peck on each cheek), barely containing a laugh at his excuse. “No, matter. At least the confusion with Bardem can be taken as a compliment, he does have good features.” and there’s a teasing smile as her eyes meet his, pulling him towards the table. “I had ordered a café for you, but I was forced to drink it since you weren’t showing up. Almost thought you’d forgotten.”

The dark cloud looming above him doesn't hang around for too long; all it takes is but a moment in her presence for the burden on his shoulders to lighten. Weighted features follow suit, assuming a softer disposition altogether as he reaches for her waist when they greet each other, kissing each of her cheeks in return. ❛ Too good, apparently. ❜ A tinge of humour can be heard on his tone, despite the quirking up of an unhappy eyebrow. ❛ It's ridiculous how many times I've been mistaken by him. It's honestly the last thing I thought would get in the way of my work. ❜ Obliging to her cues –– as he often did –– the man takes the seat across from her. ❛ I'd never forget about you. ❜ A smirk pulls at his lips. ❛ We'll put this one on Javier Bardem's tab.
