I say this with so, so much care: Real queer shit written by real queers can and will sometimes make you uncomfortable. That's one of the defining features of weird, independent queer media. And weird independent media more broadly. Art that comes from true individual passion and authenticity has edges and bite to it that mass market corporate products intentionally do not. Has a rawness that can offend.

We get to the final Homelander fight. He somehow does not use his super senses or speed cuz who cares.

“I’ll kill you just like I killed Madelyn and Firecracker and Black Noir and ATrain!” Homelander yells, making his supporters gasp, Hughie smirks cuz he was broadcasting the whole thing. They defeat Homelander by depowering him. “NOO!! Im god!!” Homelander screams while the gang stand over him, along with Ryan Sage and Terror. “Mate, there is no man in the sky, only me.” Butcher smirks and decides to spare Homelander so he suffers for the rest of his life. “My first action as president is to call for the arrest of Homelander!” Ashley declares, hands on her hips with cops by her side, they drag Homelander away as he screams “I’ll laser every one of you!!!” The Deep sneakily tries to tiptoe away, but Maeve steps out the shadows heroically and knocks him out, then goes “hah, looks like I wasn’t too late.”

Everyone is relieved. “Frenchie was right..he never danced a day in his life.” Kimiko says. “We did it! ..now what?” Hughie asks.

“I’m gonna take care of my son…” Butcher looks at Ryan. “If you’ll let me..”

“And I’m gonna go be with my family too.” MM says.

“Now we can feel safe to start a family of our own..” Hughie looks at Annie and they kiss, Sage rolls her eyes at the romance.

“What did we miss?!” Jordan and Marie run in and look around, everyone laughs.

“What about you Kimiko?” Everyone looks at her and she smiles.

“Im gonna do what Frenchie wanted. I’m gonna DANCE.” Cue Kimiko putting on Bones by Imagine Dragons, Ryan says he loves this song and Terror barks. Butcher looks at the camera and goes “Fockin’ diabolical.” Before him and Ryan start dancing with Kimiko, Butcher is tearing it tf up. Annie hesitates but Hughie bumps her hip and encourages her to dance too. Maeve nods and smiles as she drinks a random bottle of vodka. Marie and Jordan smile at each other and do random tiktok dances idk. Sage has her arms crossed but her head bobs to the rhythm slowly, she slowly can’t control her body til she goes “aw what the heck!” And joins in. Terror does a little tap dance. Cut to Homelander in jail pouting while The Deep next to him taps his foot in rhythm. Everyone poses and flips off the camera as the song ends a la Peacemaker, THE BOYS splashes across the screen.

Credits roll, We Can Be Heroes by David Bowie starts playing while illustrations of The Boys comic show across the screen, along with the Buster Beaver animal mascots dancing in the corner.
