PJ Masks Neurodivergent HCs
I always hc Owlette being an internally hyperactive adhd. The kind with an excitable brain, the kind that locks in under pressure, but also the kind of brain that overanalyzes. Very attentive to detail but can hyper-fixate on details too much and ignore bigger pictures. A brain that introspects a little too much and now is too hyper-aware of their flaws to shrug off mistakes easily.
Catboy is hyperactive ADHD inside and out. Impulsive and emotionally driven. Very reactive/hypersensitive to external stimuli. A brain that keeps his attention searching for stimulation but has an attention span that can bolt away as fast as his feet. A creative thinker that acts fast, but sometimes faster than he is able to articulate bc itās hard to articulate an impulse response. (that time he launched Gekko across the city without elaborating lol)
Gekkoās more inattentive ADHD/Autism. Has a difficult time engaging in/learning things that donāt pertain to his interests. But if itās even remotely related or if his patterns recognition can make a connection, he has your full support. But this can also lead him to hyper-focus on only the aspects of a situation that are engaging to him (think āDo the Gekkoā).
But heās also an empath. Being not as outspoken has lead him to become a better listener for others. And pattern recognition helps him relate to others. And the relatability he finds helps him engage and connect.
Idk if anyone in the ninjago fandom has said this/predicted this yet but
80% sure Arin is going become the Master of Spinjitzu, weather or not they refer to it as an element.
He taught himself spinjitzu, created a new way to utilize the move (object spinjitzu) and itād call back to the original series title āNinjago: Masters of Spinjitzuā
funny thing is none of the original ninja really became better than the others at spinjitzu, they all just knew how to do it equally once they learned,
nor did that technique keep much plot relevance in the later seasons besides being a cool move (and air-jitzu), so the emphasis on āMasters of Spinjitzuā sort of ended there.
But they bring focus and plot relevance back to spinjitzu in Dragon Rising with the ninja learning the technique of the same name to combat shatterspin, with that being another way the new show is highlighting spinjitzu more which I really enjoy too.
So making Arin a master of spinjitzu would be a great way to make the series come full circle imo, and they seem to be setting that up with him already (fingers crossed)
Obsessed with how Euphrasia implicitly studied the Legends of Chima
1000% this was the "late medieval period" they're referring to
Currently re-watching Legends of Chima with my younger sister
eagerly waiting for all my favorite episodes and characters

little personal headcanon for the Diamond Cutters:
Tangle: asexual; sheās just never been attracted to someone THAT way lol
Whisper: aromantic; sheās just happy to have friends again, and anyone she trust enough to get closer with becomes family to her
Lanolin: low-empathy autism; sheās very logic-driven, and struggles to understand/express emotions normally
i hope in the new season of sofia the first her amulet summons raya who says "i hope you know that murder is okay" and sofia's "yeah i do"
Gonna be honest, I think itād be interesting if they did what they did when implementing Frozen into Sofia the First
where, instead of the amulet summoning Raya, something happens and the amulet summons Sisu instead, the way it summoned Olaf instead of Elsa or Anna
i NEED people to realise foreshadowing is. in fact. a literary device. and not a Bad Thing. the audience picking up on your hints is a Good Thing. because. it makes the story and itās conclusion make sense. and some people will not see those but enjoy seeing them on a second read through. red herrings are one thing but if your novel consists of nothing but red herrings itās not a coherent story itās just a collection of paragraphs that donāt actually plausibly link to one another. you're not fighting with the audience you donāt look clever you look like you donāt know how basic fiction works. be vulnerable for once in your goddamn life and don't treat writing like a game to be won where the audience losing is a good thing.
Getting to the end of a story and going "THE CLUES WERE THERE THE WHOLE TIME!" is always joyous for me whether or not I picked up on the clues leading up
If I saw the clues and caught the hints then yes! I am clever and me and the author/creator/artist etc were in on it together the whole time!
If I didn't notice the clues or got fooled but can clearly see them in hindsight then "Ha! You won this time storyteller! I am delighted by this game we play!' and then I enjoy putting the pieces together afterwards and enjoying how clever it was. I feel like the creator respects me as an audience
If there is a "twist" that comes with 0 clues or foreshadowing at all I'm annoyed. I'm pissed off. I feel like I'm being condescended to and patronised. It's not clever or interesting and makes me annoyed I ended up caring about characters and plot points that ended up meaningless.
Because it's not that these stories don't have foreshadowing or plot clues. They just abandon it for a "surprising twist"
A story that pays off the clues is letting me into the fun and makes a participant in the story
A story that just gives me a "shock" but no pay off is telling me not to engage or get attached or care. So why would I watch?
OMG! THIS!
Random plot twists that don't connect to anything in the story are not clever. If we don't see it coming because the writer didn't provide any clues, they aren't clever and it's totally unsatisfying (and I will NEVER read this writer again). These clues need not be lit up in neon with a parade of elephants and showgirls. But they need to be present
I'm a writer and am rarely surprised. Often, if I am surprised it's because the writer was a dumbass and included a "twist" that makes no sense (and therefore isn't really a twist, it's just random bullshit). If a writer genuinely surprises me, without being an absolute dumbass, I am FUCKING DELIGHTED! I will tell everyone I know to read the book/see the movie/watch the show.
Foreshadowing is the reward for paying attention. It's the story letting you in on the secret like a co-conspirator because you're the clever little audience member who has been picking up on the clues the writer has been setting up.
It even makes watching/reading again more worthwhile because if you didn't notice the foreshadowing the first time you have the joy of being able to notice the things you missed!
Time to bring up the creator of Babylon 5, and sometime writer on Murder She Wrote, responding to people saying "We already figured this out", once again. Paraphrasing with a bit of quoting;
If no one figures it out, you're doing your job wrong.
If everyone figures it out, you're doing your job wrong.
Of COURSE some people figure it out, they're paying attention.
If you're doing your job right, and laying out the clues, a certain number of people HAVE to figure it out.
"The best case scenario is a bell-shaped curve. Some don't have a clue what's coming, some manage to figure it out, and the majority have a kind of vague sense where it's going, but there are still surprises along the way. If the bell-curve shifts one direction or the other, then you're in trouble."

does Camila know about Mr Ceedricās various misdeeds
Absolutely no clue.
Fingers crossed this doesnāt become a plot relevant. I do not need an episode where Camila finds out about Cedricās past of evil at the absolute worst time and she has doubts about becoming a sorceress ruler bc thatās exactly what Cedric wanted when he was evilš„ŗš
Although⦠she is the only main cast member that doesnāt seem to have a character arc lined up for her besides being good at magic (which she already is) so maybe she needs some conflict-
āwriting this fic if it doesnāt happen in canon
Zane absolutely ate on Weāre Royal Heroes šš
āIf you really think I can, I guess maybe. I could do something so extraordinary. Theyāll give me my very own tapestry, even call me Zane the Legendary. All I need is the perfect plan to show how royally heroic I am and do something so undeniably cool, like driving that dragon out of our school!ā
And then the dramaticā
āWEāRE ALLLLLLLLLLLLLā š¶š
Iām sorry, but that whole part lives rent-free in my head. Zane and Devin need a solo song.
Zoom Zoom Zoom is unironically a bopšŗš
It perfectly captures the chaos, energy, and dread an entire pack of magic puppies with the zoomies would cause, and Pepperās VA has such a bouncy and playful voice that matches the energy perfectly lol
I finally finished all the episodes that have come out so far for Royal Magic and I gotta say hands down Camila is my favorite out of Sofia's new friends
I love that she just pops in and scares the hell out of everyone and like just impulsively tries out spells she's never done before because eh why not. And even when she does them wrong she's just so like chill about it. And her Cedric fangirling like same girl
And the best part is none of her friends think she's a bad sorceress or don't believe in her abilities and in fact they never get mad or dismiss her when the spells go wrong. Instead the focus is on the actions of the other characters who asked for her spell like Zane in the Tippty Tap Dance and Amber in Veggie Good Deed
It's so different from the way ya know Cedric was treated all his life. He could do the spells right he just messed up because he got nervous. I have no proof of this but I like to think if The Incident had never happened Cedric might have been similar to Camila. Maybe not as extroverted but like more chill with making mistakes
But no. At least he's finally respected now after 30 FUCKING YEARS
havenāt had much time to draw lately, bigger art pieces are in the works so hereās a Camila doodle in the meantimešŖāØ

Loved how in āAbracadazzleā Camila didnāt compete in the magic contest most likely because she didnāt feel the need to prove herself and then throughout the episode she helps Sofia with her self worth.
And then the rest of the episodes Camilaās in sheās just sheās either fangirling over Cedric, teleporting in and scaring the shit out of Sofiaās family, or casting any spell to help her friends without a second thought and being 1000% proud of herself afterwards.
Like she sees Zane bouncing off tables and sheās just like ātehee I did that spell!šā
Easily one of the best characters in the show so faršāØ
Zane (and Zaria) is going to be important in the first episode or in a later a story arc but I canāt prove itā¦
Imo these shots arenāt just highlighting the duo for no reason (Zaneās got that deuteragonist energy fr)
More likely Zane is getting more attention since heās the only male in the main cast and the show wants to have a larger audience but who knows
putting the Time to Shine song clip on my cork-board of evidence
would actually go insane if this ends up being Zane and Zariaās story wrapped in a Sofia the First-themed package, with Sofia being the catalyst of change for the better by just being a positive influence from her past experiences in the previous show
Adding to this the concept of antagonist duo Zaria and Zane (with neither being truly evil, especially Zane, ofc) inspired by @tinstarbbyās most recent art of the siblings
