Part 2 Episode 4 – Weed of Fortune

Thanks to Simon Wilches Castro for inviting us to take part in this little experiment, Megan Love for her support through all the saw dust covered emails from Eimhin, as well as Will Feng’s cheerleading and the rest of the Titmouse team for their generosity and time! For this project Eimhin put together a regular who’s who of Paper Panther All Stars, carving puppets and props out of an oak couch, painting miniature matte backdrops, building tiny lights into tiny astronauts, giving an elephant a pedicure, bending loads of wire, and in general getting covered in dust – only the most glamorous work for such an elite!

The Bird & the Whale UK Premiere @ MAF2017

Carol’s oil paint on glass film The Bird & the Whale is having its UK premiere during this week’s Manchester Animation Festival !   Many thanks to Steve & crew for selecting Carol’s labour of love! Unfortunately we won’t be in attendance ourselves, but it’s a very special feeling knowing that after all the years of teaching our film to walk and talk it’s finally out…

A new 6 week course starts on the 4th of September, every Monday from 7-9PM, €50 for all 6 classes: http://www.a4soundsshop.org/product/life-drawing-course-6-weeks

  All skill levels are welcome, from never picked up a pencil before to rusty old master. The key focus of this course is to engender a curiosity in the world around you, using drawing as a tool to aid understanding.

Over the duration of the course you will work on observational drawing skills using exercises such as:

Gesture & Acting, Blind & Bamboo Stick Drawing, Contour & Silhouette work, Perspective & Proportion point referencing, Tone & Colour, as well as Sculpture. There will also be some more experimental aspects, exploring deliberate distortion of the figure and stylisation of form.
