Yes, I am using the main tags. I know this is not going to be fun to read and bursts the fantasy bubble a little, but it’s important that people see this. And I hope that you can read this with an open and calm mind.

In no way am I super involved with the creation side of it, but I am friends with some of the people and I consume the content a lot. Because of my friendships with these people who are more included, I see something ugly turning it’s head, and it seems to be worse every time a new discourse happens.

Let’s take a moment to think about what TF’s lyrics and intentions are with this project. He gave us a chance to make a community for everyone. For the abandoned, the socially unaccepted, for less censorship, and even to feel loved. He wants to build *everyone* up and give us a family when we may not have one. Positivity. People use it to cope. That’s the whole point.

So in what world is it okay to shame people and send them copious amounts of hate? It shouldn’t be this one of all worlds.

Kinkshaming has happened pretty heavily in the recent past. Of all fandoms, you chose… A very sexual band that roots for equality even in the bedroom. It makes no sense. If you don’t like something, do not look. It’s literally that simple. We all like what we like, just don’t look at the shit you don’t like. No one is making you read it, it takes very minimal effort to swipe past it.

And for this sending hate anon bs… Just look at this.

People have said things like: “go kill yourself” “you retard” “you cunt” “eat shit and die” “no one in the fandom likes you and wants you to die”

This. Is. Disgusting.

This abusive behavior ruins fandoms. It gives good content a bad name, and if it continues, what will be left of us? Everyone will leave until a group of toxic abusers are left. I actually know more than one person that has left this fandom because of the negative and inexcusable behavior. It’s ruined Ghost for them forever.

What if someone told you these things? You can say “I’ll laugh it off” all you want, but at the end of the day when you lay down you’ll think about it. It’ll stick around in the back of your mind without you realizing it, and it will hurt.

And what would you do if someone did actually kill themselves over something you said? Think about it seriously for a moment.

These words actually hurt others. Have some empathy, people, it’s not that hard. I don’t care who you are in in the fandom, your friend group, in life. Humble up.
