i fucking love that ME! exists… literally…. i just love being able to turn off my thoughts and listen to a light hearted song about liking who you are…. it’s a simple concept… but so necessary sometimes

i hate when i can’t explain the shit i feel

shoutout to the survivors who are not forgiving, who do not believe that what happened to them was ‘for a reason’, who know they did not deserve it, who are angry at what happened to them, and who do not show the typical ‘good victim’ trope. You all get so much shit from people about how you should act from your trauma because only ‘good victims’ are deserving of empathy and support. You deserve so much more than that.

you know what’s not talked about enough? the way the structure of champagne problems mirrors the story it’s telling. like we literally don’t know what has gone wrong “til someone’s on their knees and asks you”

and!! and!! it’s the same thing with all too well! all through the song we get little warning signs right after sweet moments (and I left my scarf there, at your sisters house, and you’ve still got it, in your drawer, even now) but it’s not until the bridge that we see them hurt and angry and running scared... and then the song cycles back to the scarf, to the good times, except this time more bitter and with the knowledge of what comes afterwards, just like the relationship

I must speak about this. Watching not only a musician you’ve been a massive fan of and hugely inspired by finally get the industry recognition you feel they more than deserve, but also watching a friend who has become so deeply important to you personally over such a turbulent year…. I’d be crying too. Grammys are exciting and obviously Taylor cares about them, but I think she walked away from last night infinitely more proud of Aaron having his moment in the sun than she was happy to add another trophy to her own shelf. And that’s very reflective of who she is as a person.
