Panti hears the voice and looks up to see Flynn standing there next to him. Panti’s eyes widen with realization that he hasn’t been abandoned and a hint of tears can be seen before he turns away from Flynn. He was relieved, truly, but he didn’t want the warlock to know how glad he was to see him again. He was not, however, excited to explain to Flynn how he’d lost all his gold over the course of a couple of hours, or what he’d managed to get himself wrapped up in during that short time.
He chanced a look at the tiefling again, looking up at Flynn, unable to hide his look of shame. He sees the Satyr girl behind him and looks her up and down before looking back at Flynn.
“You could save the short ones for me,” he grumbled, looking back at his dinner.
Flynn joins Panti at the bar. Looks like the bard had been through a rough time, but not too rough, he was still alive and not noticeably injured, good enough. Good enough to be snarky at least given the comment about sloppy seconds. He cringes slightly, glancing at Liana to see if she's been offended, confirming to Panti what he already suspected.
He ignores the comment, instead trying to go back and lighten the conversation. "Hey, maybe I'm starting to like the short ones too." he says with a wink to Panti.
Wh… Why the fuck did he just say that? That came out way more flirty than intended. Why, was he practically flirting with Panti- Maybe he didn't hate him, but it's not like he liked the bastard either, sure things had gotten...weird between them. But he thought he was past that. Flynn quickly turns and pretends to be ordering a drink before his face can betray his embarrassment and confusion.
Panti looks away, averting his eyes to the bar in front of him. This was awkward. They’d come to an unspoken agreement to never mention that one night on the road, the only acknowledgment that it had ever happened when their eyes would meet in the light of the campfire in a quiet moment as they sat on their separate bedrolls on cold nights. What the hell was Flynn doing now? Panti preferred the familiarity of the tiefling’s taunting to…whatever this was.
