Cygnus came with me to Japan of course, and although I originally planned to take him to every Volks store I went near for souvenir pics, in the end I didn’t really have enough time so he only went to Fukuoka Sumika, Osaka Doll Point and Tenshi no Sato (which is fine because Sato was the main one I brought him for). I was glad I got to take him to the Fukuoka store though! That’s where all these photos are from. I also thought it would be cute to have a collection of photos of him holding the signs for the different stores but for whatever reason the Fukuoka one is the least legible and even if you can read kanji you can barely parse the 福岡 lol.

Volks in Fukuoka is very nostalgic and special to me because it’s always been there throughout the 3 times I lived in Fukuoka, and even when I thought I’d never afford the dolls on display there I did always enjoy looking at them. Last time I lived there from 2016-2018 I went at least once a month if I could. In 2019, the store was completely remodelled and moved to another floor of the building so it looks very different to my nostalgia. However, this means it’s actually the third iteration of Fukuoka Volks store I’ve been in, because they also remodelled it some time between 2013 and 2016.
