Hobbits & dogs & pinelands, oh my!

The Return of the King Throwback (1/3) :: 29 February 2004 :: Fifteen years (and one day) ago, the lights of my life walked the Oscars red carpet in Valentino suits, the odd run of boas, freshly dyed and fluffed dos, and in a beautiful, mad state of mind. The Return of the King would take the night, with eleven wins, but even at this point on the carpet, they’d already won everything. For those of you who’ve walked this road with me before on other platforms—and those of you who walked with me barefoot and with ringing ears home that night after The Party—you know how much I’d love to editorialize and amuse for each of these pictures, but for now, let’s just revel and remember.
