Miguel usually gets a haopy ending in the comics. Original 2099 ending was him marrying his ex Xina and basically leading the world into a better future. In the retconnef ending his dimension was destroyed and he was sent to modern day 616 to live with his girlfriend and their son. Miguel from Exiles was stranded in a modern day universe, got engaged to that world's Mary Jane and became a chef. He died jn fhe first Spider verse event but would have been revived in the last.

Honestly I don’t believe that explanation that many were hung up on. For “Gone with the wind” the title ALSO was in quotation marks so I don’t ever believe this much focus/justification for a clearly mismanaged adaptation.

I meant it as a joke. I didn't even realize the GWTW connection, I was just commenting how the quotations with the terrible looking adaptation made it seem like they're straight up telling us it isn't actually Wurthering Heights.
