He took the presents, looking down at them, before looking back up at the other with a grin. “Aaww! Thanks, man! I got you and Warren something, too, hang on.” He rummaged around his jacket pockets before pulling out too presents. THey were adorable coffee mugs. Here you go!

The good news was, this obviously-not-a-space-ninja-thing didn’t seem hostile. The bad news was that he seemed… injured, from the looks of it. Had something happened earlier? No longer feeling threatened, Berecca put away her Katana.

Berecca wasn’t really sure if he was faking this ‘pain’ thing or not, but she still wanted to see if this guy was okay nonetheless. After all, it would be heartless to just leave him down here in this dumb sewer and suffer if he actually was. She carefully held out her hand for him to grab just in case he needed assistance in standing up. But not before she finally asked him a question.

“Dude, What the hell are you? And… are you okay? You look as if you just got hit by a bus or something.” 

Well, he supposed that getting in trouble could wait. He let her help him up, once on his feet leaning on the nearest wall. Ow, leg hurt. “Mutant turtle. Probably don’t see those everyday, huh?” He said with a sheepish smile.

Berecca took a few steps back in surprise and tightened her grip on her IPPON Katana after hearing the stranger’s response. She had just assumed that it– er, he was one of the space ninja, but since he had somehow understood what she said and gave her an answer, that thought was most likely proven false, since the space ninja couldn’t speak… well, they probably couldn’t speak. She hadn’t gotten enough intel on them at that point anyway, so who knows?

But if he wasn’t one of the Space ninja, then what the HECK was he? Berecca was only able to say three words as she tried to think of any possible (and logical) conclusions.

“D-Did you just talk??”

“Uh-huh,” THe young turtle replied. He tried to sit up again, managing to stay up this time. He rubbed the side of his head with a slight wince. “Ugh... that hurt...”

“Well the house needs to not be so loud about it,” he stated.

Odette would be lying if she said she was nervous. After all, it isn’t like she has any idea why some yokai would’ve tried to grab her. But at least Mikey’s here, and that’s comforting, if nothing else. She grabs hold of his hand, holding on tightly, her brow furrowed as she watches him with wide blue eyes.

“I don’t know what happened. That’s just… so weird. I don’t know why they would be after me!”

     –☆ “すごい!” he exclaims, clapping a bit again. “I’ve been a hero for a year too, i think!” He looks over Mikey again, tilting his head. The kid is young – very young. He kinda reminds him of himself, in a way. That’s actually kinda nice.

       –☆ “Oh, oh wait,” he thinks again. There’s still a chance of zodiarts in new york, right? Even if Mikey didn’t seem to be one. “You haven’t seen any zodiarts around? Usually animal-like creatures with stars on their body?”
