Oy Vey Schmear...

I remember years ago, my partner and I walked into The Space Gallery and stopped dead in our footsteps when we came across this piece of art by Carlene Frances. We both stared pensively into the crevices of the canvas and instantly fell in love. So, I would crawl back through ruins and wreckage and pray that I’d find this box of oil, canvas, strokes, sweat, tears, and probably fears; for:

introducing me to an exceptional artist who is not only extraordinary in talent, but in humbleness, kindness and generous

proving love can exist even if you see two different things - I saw a dangling chandelier and my partner, a ship

bringing art back into my world and inspiring me to find the artist within me

soothing my senses when the days get heavy

reminding me that beautiful things are layered

I would have shared a photo of my Mac Desktop with all the Adobe products I use for editing videos, designing websites and making silly GIFs, but I imagine a world of salvage would exclude any readily available electricity. In the end, when we must collect what really matters, we go back to the beginnings of our passions, the root of what drives us to carry on.
