the silliest billy

I'm transmasc and i wear a bunch of bracelets, of which one has the trans colours and one is rainbow. They're pretty subtle and its more of an iykyk. I also have a lot of fandom pins on my bag.

So I sat on the bus, and this man on the opposite side sees my bracelets and pins, and he excitedly picks his own backpack up to show me his rainbow pin. We did happy thumbs up at eachother and I was really happy with that interaction.

Doesnt end there tho. When his stop was approaching, he got out of his seat and went over to me, and I learnt that he's trans as well ("I know I dont look it", he said).

He told me to stay proud and stay a brat ("you're one of us now fella"), gave me a fistbump and told me I had very based fandoms.

And that this is actually a really fun, low cost way to not only access news and larger cultural magazines, but also to get free patterns for many different crafts that you can screenshot if need be and that lower the financial barriers to entry for trying new things

From my experience working in both academic and public libraries, many libraries are use it or lose it funding-- I have to say this because a lot of patrons feel guilty for how much they use the library and how often they're using it funny enough, but the worst thing you can do for libraries is not try out new features and not use what's already given to you as much as possible.

1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.

2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.

3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."

4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
