‼️SPOILERS FOR THE BACKROOMS MOVIE‼️

I went and saw the backrooms movie yesterday, and maybe I'll make an entire post about my opinions and theories later, but for now I wanna share a misconception I had throughout the entire movie. I also want to share that I've watched maybe the first 2 backrooms YouTube videos like when they were first coming out, so I don't have much of that to work with when it comes to how I interpreted this movie.

I went through the entire movie thinking the cardboard cutout with the tape recording of the voyager audio playing was Jesus Christ. I genuinely went through the entire movie thinking that it was a cardboard cut out of Jesus. I thought it had a crown of thorns, and the typical Jesus imagery is of a white man with long brown hair and a beard.

I don't have any theories or thoughts related to cardboard Jesus, but I genuinely thought it was Jesus Christ. I asked my friend after the movie "that was a cutout of Jesus, right?" and he was like "no...".

For those of you who dont know what it is or thought it was Jesus like me, its a cutout of a Neanderthal/caveman. Like, just a generic caveman cutout. Not Jesus Christ himself.

To describe Natalie as "our perfect plan" is so heart breaking, cause the first time you hear it you think "oh Diana just trying to reassure Natalie that she is not second to Gabe" but listen to it again. "Perfect Plan". She had Natalie to replace Gabe. Natalie was planned to replace Gabe. Natalie is Diana's perfect plan, her replacement for her perfect baby.

I love the Markiplier Cinematic Universe/Who Killed Markiplier Universe so much, and I've loved it since like heist came out (when I first showed interest in it) but it's literally 2am and im finally connecting dots and understanding a solid storyline. I have loved this universe for YEARS, and have watched the explanation live streams MANY TIMES, but I somehow JUST GOT everything to click into place for me. And wow, what beautiful storytelling from Markiplier. I just took way too long to understand lmao
