The Realm Owen.... ough I haven't thought about him in a while, I hope this is in character!
The thing about executioners is that they are a patient people. There is always someone that will be paraded around a kingdom, placed upon the chopping block, and have their head chopped off, blood arcing in the shape of a crown.
Crowns are a display of power, they are only given to royals for a reason after all. Crowns are also taken off by royals for a reason, and those crowns are taken off by executioners.
Owen is a patient man. And despite his conniving nature he is well aware of, he was very clear with what he was to do since the very first days.
Executions are for Mondays.
The executioner is designed to aid the King's ventures until they are not, until the King is the one thrown upon the block. But things like that take time, things like that require a dissenting Kingdom. A dissenting Kingdom requires a foolish King.
It's very ironic that the King's name is Foolish.
He lives up to that name as well, far to trusting of men with reputations spanning longer than the length of a corpse, with those signed onto the Kingdom's goals with sheer bribery alone. He may be a liar, but he still made his role very clear.

Are the words spoken to him when he displayed his hand a little too far, he had hoped Sneeg's absence from the Kingdom would make an easy out for him to kick the one person that held more influence towards the King than him. However, he had forgotten an important detail, he had given the rest of the week to Clown out of "good faith" to appease the King. And now it was being used against him.
It's fine, it's not like death has ever stopped him before. That's his job after all.
And it doesn't. He parades the King through this Realm, places him upon the chopping block, and his axe sings true as it chops off the fool's head. Golden blood arcs through the room almost cleanly, decorating his axe. That same ichor drips down onto his face when he places the crown upon his head and laughs.
