They have sooo much in common. Astro knows just exactly how fragile Soulvesters ego is. Soulvester resents Astro for being so underwhelming despite being a main. They shouldn't care about eachother but they do. its so reciprocal. can't you see how much you matter? Can't you see past your pride ? cause it IS about pride. when it comes to both of them

Theyre both shielding themselves, in a way. Astro is a fence-sitter and Soulvester can't help but be stubborn in his beliefs. I think they wouldn't get along at first but they don't clash so much that they don't talk to eachother altogether

Soulvester insisting on helping people and refusing to take care of his own armour in the process— he's stuffy and full of pride but caring to a fault, and doesn't like it when he's barred from helping people even if it becomes overbearing. Astro is so passive in-person but he's still determined to give everyone good rest, so far as to receive requests for specific kinds of dreams, and accepting them anyway, even if theyre out of his skillset. Alongside this, he's still wickedly invasive about staying in other peoples dreams even though he doesn't realise it- what he might assume to be a good dream isn't always the case for the toon he's helping and sometimes he does more bad than good.

But while Soulvester is compassionate and stoic about the shit he does, Astro is droll and considers it a solemn duty. It's the difference between a guy who takes up like 3 other peoples shifts because he's "Tough" And the guy who does it becauss he's got nothing else to do.
