Over Abandonment

A bit random, but I was wondering if you'd check out an award-winning short film about domestic violence that I helped produce; it's the first post you'll see on my tumblr. The film follows a young woman who performs a spoken word poem as a way to reclaim her agency after ending things with a manipulative, troubled man. Some things never change

"Just because it's not happening now doesn't mean that it never will. God always has a plan. He knows what's best. We just have to remind ourselves to let go. I've been coming to the realization lately that we as humans have this crazy false belief that we are in control. When, in reality, we have no say in how our lives turn out. God is constantly surprising us with new doors that can be opened. I have faith that there is something great in the works for you. Just don't lose that faith. Maybe God is giving you this time to focus on yourself. Or maybe focus on him. You never know what will come along. You have a great caring heart and will do something AMAZING with it. You don't need a girl to affirm that. I know and you know how wonderful you are."
