We've been waiting to explore these nearby sea caves until low tide hit, because at high tide they are almost totally submerged and very dangerous! 😬 At low tide, though, you can walk in and explore with just ankle-deep water swishing around. On the highway south of Uvita is a gas station and strip mall with massive dinosaurs in it! Next to the T-Rex is a little ice cream parlor with unique flavors like Cookie Monster & Cream or Chocolate Almond. Picinas El Tucan is a locally owned restaurant and bar with a small balneario (waterpark) on the outskirts of Quepos. 😎 We had a blast there and definitely recommend it to other visiting families. 👍 Just beware the speed on the big waterside. It really zooms! We had the coolest experience touring Vanilla Villa spice farm near Quepos! We all got to smell, touch, and taste a variety of spices grown on the farm. 🤩 It felt more like a forest hike than a farm tour, though.
