the difference between jacks losing tella (dying his hair blue) and losing evangeline (literally trying to set his heart on fire) is so insane

the one person you wanted to go back in time for, even though you said yourself dealing with time isn't worth it. this girl he's been searching for is right there, yet he chose eva. when he had the stones, he chose eva. his entire pov throughout the series is just a big confession to eva of his love. over everything, he chose her. it just shows how eva had changed his perspective on love and changed him as a person. because of her, he was completely thrown off the 'one true love' course and followed her. CHOSE her.

and that is my theory of why some of you thought “the book was so different from the others it was off putting”
