i’ve gotten certain messages in my inbox related to the radiocollared canine directory i’ve put together.
without saying much, because i really don’t care for pointless internet scuffles that don’t involve me, i consider me, @collared-pacific , and @wulfbones to be the “originators” or “leaders” or whatever of the pack. 1227M has been interested in a pack for a while and has verbalized that, 1813M plans on making the discord server, and i’ve been putting together and organizing the directory as people comment.
i feel like us three (especially 1227M and 1813M since they’re spearheading the concept of the pack) get to decide who is officially in it and who is not. i don’t want to make this a clique sort of situation or anything, i merely posted other canines who happen to be radiocollared. let adults be adults and figure out their own issues. i’m not making any further comments on this, and if im harassed then im turning off my inbox.
i thought i should make this list to keep track of radiocollared buddies so we can mutual one another. 🐾 (if you’d like to be added or removed, please let me know!)
1813M is curious if the canine/wolf alterhuman community would enjoy being in a pack-like Discord server? He may make it dedicated to radiocollared canines as they seem few and far between, although it would likely be open to all (including those with canine IDs alongside other species IDs).

this heat has given me mixed species/breed shifts. on one hand, im an african wild dog or coyote, basking in the sun. on the other, my SSRIs and hyperhydrosis make me feel like a long-haired breed that can’t tolerate this heat. i wish i was a water dog, splashing in the pool or a beach or a lake. (i dont particularly like pools, but its probably the most accessible.) also, my state is crazy humid, even at night, so going out is almost unbearable. lots of thinking to do.
To be completely honest, I have a mild dislike for all of the nonhuman/alterhuman labels there are. I mean, plutoid and holothere might as well not exist. I use them both for simplicity's sake, but I can literally just say "I am a bearded vulture" and leave it at that. No labels necessary. They almost feel human, too human, for me, and in a way invalidating. It also feels like a sort of arms race, but for words, like, "who is the most animal/nonhuman" or "who is the most valid" or "who can claim the most distance from humanity". I'm not saying nobody should be able to use those labels, as like I've said I also use them (although mainly out of a need for self expression), but they just seem... counterintuitive to a degree.

Nonhuman experiences aren't something you grow out of. They aren't an indicator of an unfulfilled or boring life- they're just part of the diverse spectrum of it.
We're all familiar with the animalistic traits some of us exhibit during shifts - growling, hissing, howling, etc. But what about those of us who are more monstrous, more eldritch, more alien, or less... acceptable?
Shout out to those monsters who curl their fingers into claws.
Shout out to the beings who restlessly tap and click.
Shout out to the creatures who react with a vicious smile when exposed to certain music or lyrics or movies.
Shout to to the entities with behavior we've never seen before.

feeling moreso domestic again. or… partially domestic. i’m still having urges to bite and snap at certain people, but i like the comfort of having someone who is Mine, that being my significant other. no physical shifts to note, im just having very mixed urges today.

I lived there for a year, delivering mail. It was a dream to live somewhere I could see foxes, extra convenient I got a job that would send me all over the place! I bought a nice camera for it, too. I miss them.

note: there’s a lot of nuance to this, as every day is going to be different. some days im on break from school and work, sometimes i just have work, etc. however, i will try to generalize this as best i can for sake of simplicity.
since most of my year is spent in school, and working part time while at school, i’m going to do those average days.
a - school days.
on days i have school, i will wake up and get ready as usual. i usually wake up an hour before i need to actually get ready, so that i have some time to get my bearings and not feel groggy. usually i do not shift in my sleep. if i am canine the night before and fall asleep still canine, i will most likely wake up human, sometimes behaviorally shifted. getting ready consists of a small, light workout (if i can squeeze it in), washing my face, brushing my fangs, putting my clothes on, and sometimes doing my makeup. working out helps to release my canine feelings sometimes, if i have something important to do that day such as a presentation. i pack my bag the night before.
next is food. i don’t like to eat a lot in the mornings unless i have back to back classes. if i have a small breakfast, its usually a smoothie or a protein bar. snacks i eat consist of a lot of peanut butter/peanuts in general, jerky (my absolute favorite), and protein-based ingredients. i do have other things sometimes, these are just my favorites.
during class, im pretty much never physically shifted, and very rarely behaviorally shifted. i’ve learned how to resist urges and mask when needed. i do actually enjoy my major, which is fashion marketing, and sometimes i get to subtly include my nonhumanity into it.
dinner depends on which dining hall i want to go to, and what they’re serving. it’s pretty much a toss up.
after doing my bedtime routine, i have time to fully shift to decompress if i need to. my partner gives me lots of pets and kisses and that really affirms that it’s okay to be me. most of my physical shifts are during this time.
if i have a bad enough trigger or breakdown, i can physically shift during the day. however, ive learned to mostly keep it under control.
b - work days.
work days are a lot different from school days. i still follow the same morning routine, but i get to take my time. these are days i definitely do workouts, since i have the free time. in my other free time outside of work and exercise, i do homework, go to medical appointments, or rest.
i usually work evenings, where i also mask a lot. however, a lot of customers at my job bring their dogs, which i feel 50/50 about. on one paw, they’re usually very sweet and let me pet them. on the other, it can trigger partial physical shifts for me, such as hind paws, a tail, ears, bigger fangs, and a muzzle.
on days i work mornings, i work out after my job. my evening routine stays the same as on days i have school, except i will eat dinner at work if i work at night.
i shift the most during exercise and during my alone time with my partner. but high emotions (can be both, but most of the time it’s negative), other stimuli (such as other dogs or nonhumans, mental health episodes, and physical health flare ups), can also trigger me.
