I have officially become one of those women who talk about their child constantly and I'm 100% okay with it.

I mean, I have loads of other interests. I have accomplished many things. Im "retired" from a very successful and lucrative career. Less than a few years ago I was the "girlboss" of my former dreams.

But when I look at his face and I try to compare the way I felt then to the way I feel now, there is a visceral difference.

THIS is it. This is my purpose. It feels so good to belong here in my home and to do my part of making our small universe as warm and loving as I can.

Everything else pales in comparison for me. So I'm going to sing it on the mountains. And I'm going to send my family 100 pictures of his sweet blue eyes every day. I'm gonna bring him up in conversation and I'm going to tell funny stories about what new thing he is doing lately. And I'm not sorry.

Being his mom is seriously just fucking awesome.
