You don't have to answer this, I just wanted to say I appreciate you and your work and the way you interact with fans and also I understand you were a big part of making Scorfuma happen so I appreciate that too
I am answering this because I want to gloat. Me and Mickey engineered Scorfuma together while we were in a drawpile together goofing off after work, trying to decide which “crackship” (idk if we even knew at this point she’d switch sides) would be best for Scorpia, because we love her character and desperately wanted her to have a love interest who would treat her right. We fell in love with the idea of Scorfuma within like 5 minutes of talking, and then after some very mushy headcanoning that I won’t repeat, proceeded to harass everybody at work about it, who at the time largely were shipping Sconnie. So we had kind of a loving, fake-vicious internal ship war. It was us two versus mostly the writers, I think, who normally always have the upper hand on what goes canon, but we had the ability to draw cute art on our side. I drew fanart of a theoretical Perfuma & Scorpia baby, designed to be as cute as possible, and I think that tipped it in our direction. I never thought it would actually make it in even as subtly as it did, so I am SO pleased that we got enough people in on it to get the right situations arranged, and most importantly, that Scorpia gets to be loved and appreciated.
