oscar definitely felt like he was seventeen again. back in the town he grew up in, hiding from his dad to avoid confrontation, and laying down on one of the town’s benches, completely oblivious to the world around him. if he had a walkman, well, he wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. but he doesn’t, so oscar takes to reading up on some emails and blaring jazz out loud. an alarm that he didn’t notice he still had on had suddenly blaring out the worst of the worst tones, leaving oscar to stumble with his phone, it being flipped around mid-air, ending with the phone dropping on the ground. “oh come on now.” he muttered, pushing himself up to retrieve it.
“of all the times for this to happen..”
