It's not easy to be like nobody else

Photograph a stranger’s hands.

Notice who’s making eye contact and who’s avoiding it.

Compliment a stranger on something oddly specific.

Ask someone what the best thing that happened to them this week was.

Write down 5 overheard sentences without context.

Ask a stranger what they’d name a boat if they had one.

Find the quietest person in the room. Observe them for 5 minutes.

Ask someone what they were like at 5 years old.

Find someone scrolling. Guess what they’re feeling. Write it down.

Write a single sentence about each person in the room, starting with “They seem like…”

Ask someone: “What made you cry recently?”

Ask a stranger to write down one sentence they want to remember forever. Photograph the paper.

Ask someone to show you an object they carry every day. Document it like a relic.

Ask someone what their mom always says. Use it as a poem title.

Ask someone what their hands know how to do.

Compliment someone on the way they move. Watch what it does to them.

Ask someone who they’d leave with if they could only pick one person in the room. Don’t let them say “I don’t know.”

Ask someone what they almost wore tonight. Why not?

Wave at a stranger.

Ask someone what they think you do for a living.

Ask someone what they think your name is.

Tell a stranger, “You’re the main character tonight.” Then walk away.

Walk up to someone and say, “You have no idea what you’re capable of.” Then smile and leave.

Draw someone without looking at the paper. Show them.

Whether its Looks, genetics, social connections, wealthy contacts, etc.

I make a lot of decisions in my life by following my own gut. Most of the time, what I choose goes completely against the grain. It’s tricky, because when you move like that, you’re basically taking risk after risk with no blueprint, no permission, and no external validation telling you you’re making the “right” decision

Then I talk to people I respect and the moment I explain what I’m planning, they light up. They get excited. They want to be part of it. And I always ask the same question “If you love the idea so much, why don’t you do it yourself?”

Every time, the answer is almost identical “I don’t know how”

And that’s when I realize that what is common sense to me is actually a skill. A mindset. A muscle

Most people don’t lack desire. They lack direction. They need a step by step before they can even think about starting. I don’t. I move off intuition. I move off alignment. I move even when I can’t see the whole staircase yet

The real lesson is this that your intuition is your competitive edge. Being able to make decisions without someone validating them first is what separates a leader from a spectator

Leadership is lonely because you see the path before anyone else does. People only get excited once you describe the vision but they would’ve never thought of it on their own. They need permission. You don’t

Risk tolerance is the real divider. Most people fear the emotional cost of being wrong more than the actual consequences. But when you trust yourself, when you move even without knowing how it’s all going to unfold, you end up creating the very outcome they couldn’t imagine
