(Of course Velvette's solution would probably be less "sit-in" and more "mount Lucifer's dead body on our wall". But Alastor is being a bit petty by suggesting something comparatively toothless bc he does not want to be having this conversation)

we just didn't see a lot of vox and vel in comparison, and usually when they showed up they were better at maintaining their public personas (vox's would only slip when alastor showed up). val was depicted as a more immediate in-your-face threat, i guess? being prone to fits of rage and violence with no real concern over who saw it or who he ended up hurting. plus the more meta fact that we know he was created specifically to serve as angel's main antagonist/abuser- vox had already been around a while before he was reimagined as alastor's rival, and velvette was created to round out the vee trio.

even though viv has always said that the vees are equally bad, there were still a lot of people who believed that val was definitely the worst out of them, at least until season two came out.

Yeah I mean I totally agree and I hold the fandom-unpopular opinion that the Vees are all terrible people, yes including Vox, no not just about Alastor.

Granted, I ALSO hold the fandom-unpopular opinion that Alastor is sincerely a bad person as he currently stands in canon and doesn’t have some kind of Dexter-esque justification that morally absolves him from being a serial killer. Like, my meta for Alastor and the Vees supposedly getting along in cut-for-space scenes in canon is that they are all kind of morally repugnant by choice and Alastor is not doing some kind of “only kill evil people” Dexter shtick that would make him their natural predator.

I think if I may, on Valentino, there is also a very common line of morality that basically goes: “rape is the worst crime a person can commit, so a rapist is just as bad as a murderer.” And I think in the space of fandom, where none of us care at all about Vox’s murder victims but all of us care a lot about Angel Dust, that kind of morphs into “I can excuse being a serial killer [of victims I don’t care about] but I draw the line at victimizing my favorite character.”

Alastor says sorry, and the Vees try to get him to move in without the prisoner thing.

Will this lead to Alastor developing an entirely new complex about apologies?

The implication being that if you apologize to someone you have to move in with them????
