Currently Reading: Official book-wise, rereading Holiest by the incredible @sancta-seraphina now that I'm finally back in my dorm with all my books!!! Mostly studying the hallucination scenes and taking notes for my own projects, and feeling bad for Lucifer (it's one of my favorite interpretations ever but DAMN give that peacock's tormented mind a break 😭). I'm also rereading Sansûkh, which is always a joy.

Last Series: Blue Eye Samurai, I rewatch this show when I need something playing in the background while I work. I almost always have to look up and watch certain scenes in their entirety (the Onryō scenes and Fowler steal most of my attention lol) but it helps me lock in!!!

Last Movie: Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, it was super fun and I really enjoyed it!!! Glass Onion is still my personal favorite but this went hard!!!

Last Song: "Bone Crown" by Marah in the Mainsail. As always, picturing an AMV with my OCs and not actually having the gumption to commit to it lmao

Sweet or Salty: Sweet all the way baby, especially if there's a little bit of tartness mixed in. Love me some lemon, lime, and passionfruit flavor

Working On: Dnd commission for an irl friend of mine, character designs for Tag-Along AU, and the outline for Divine Inheritance!! That and just getting through the first week of the new semester without infecting half the dorm with my illness 😭

Henní (Pebble, Ribbons, Noble)

Little brat characters my beloved!!! Khel was based off of Nellie Oleson in appearance, while Henní was based off of Nellie Oleson in personality, so it only makes sense that the two characters would absolutely hate each other for no good reason. Henní’s rivalry with Khel comes from simple childhood jealousy, thinking that Khel cheated her way into the royal family. Y'know, both mothers killed brutally by orcs, recently orphaned Khel. Very cruel, very incorrect, very stupid, but she was like five when Khel became a princess so I’m cutting Little Henní some slack, children aren’t exactly known for logical thought. It’s even sillier because Henní’s family holds no resentment towards the royal family, everyone else gets along splendidly, so Henní’s just hating for the love of the game. Their relationship becomes more complex as the girls age and interact with more intelligence, and in late adulthood they reach a stage that one could almost call “friendship.” The insults remain of course, but it’s more playful bickering than anything.

Her ribbons aren’t very organized (I could’ve done more to clean them up), but I did base them off of crazy-lace agate, which I thought was pretty lmao. I also gave Henní a more formal outfit in the main drawing, but despite her nobility, she doesn’t like dressing up at all, so any of her future drawings will be more casual.

Height chart below, although it doesn't really matter because she grows up to be about 4'6" (137cm)

Káruun (Furs, Merchant, and Sideburns)

As written in the image notes, Káruun is one of Khel's bio mothers! While her passing is arguably the most important part of her role in Tag-Along AU, we’re ignoring that because thinking about her death makes me sad!! Focusing on her life and bonds with the world around her for now, I can work on angst later lmao

Káruun lived in the Blue Mountains (or Erid Luin, I use them interchangeably) for most of her life. Her mother taught her the tricks behind trading, and her father taught her to hunt and skin game. Her father also taught her how to process wool from the family’s sheep, so that was another skill added to Káruun’s belt. She found the whole process very rewarding, especially seeing the furs she prepared sell well. Unfortunately, as her father aged, his eyesight deteriorated (a trait she inherited), so Káruun became the primary hunter/trapper, while also bringing furs to market. It was there she met Alda, who would become a lifelong friend, as well as her future wife, Belle (we'll see her later this month)!!

Káruun is well-versed in the art of bending the truth in order to sell her wares. While she’s mostly honest with other dwarrow, condescending men are usually met with a sudden price-hike, a frigid smile, and a few choice words. She’s petty and she’s stubborn, an unfortunate and hilarious combo that's led to more than a few scuffles in the marketplace Alda may or may not share this trait lmao

Piper (Longbeard, Musician, and Braids)

Now, I might be cheating a bit because this character has existed for a few years, but it’s Piper, and Piper is amazing, so I don't think anyone’ll mind!!

Piper has always been so dear to me, as she belongs to my lovely friend @opossum-prime, and we’ve had crazy amounts of fun figuring out her character. She started out as Alda’s bestie, and has since gained a romance plot (Bono Dewfoot, courtesy of @holidamned), silly comics, redesigns, and my undying affection. Ever since her conception, Piper has been a tubist, an amazingly talented traveling musician, and I find the image of this tiny diva lugging a tuba around Middle Earth incredibly amusing. Born in Erid Luin, she traveled with her band (consisting mostly of immediate family), in her youth, collecting coin and stories as she went. She romanced and married a hobbit, bullied some elves, wrote some songs, stayed in Erebor during the events of LotR, and had a helluva life prior to her passing.

Revelation 13:1-7
