We are so BLESSED with your sUPport every year thank you, thank you, thank you to infinity and beyond…

2014 was the Twenty Fortunate year The UP hoped for… Thank you all for the continued sUPport of The UP & our growing “Joy MoVement”.With our joyful intentions we continued growing our local South African Joy Family and we set up our first joy campaigns to activate the Global Joy Movement – with #hula4love, #ark and we’ve just launched #88days too.

We are thrilled to share that we now have joy catalysts around the world, stepping UP, being humanKIND and sharing joy. Our great achievements of 2014 were greatly thanks to your support, here they are nutshelled:

We added a further +40 Care Clowns from 3 different provinces in SA and they are now part of our growing joy family

Care Clowns active in Cape town, KZN , Jozi & Pretoria and seeds panted for Mpumulanga and Namibia

OUR World HOOP day was a yay success with amazing partners 4Leaf Agency & Hoop Flow LoVe and we even supported our Care Clown brother Lyle broke a Guiness world Record for the longest distance travelled on a slack-line juggling at least 3 objects… He took the 6m record to a yay 33.35m whilst juggling 3 balls… 

we now have new website thanks to GivenGain, MPress Design, Barbra Cowley & all the rad techy teams on the #doitday

A few Joy Facilitators are set up in Jozi & Cape Town to run schools joy programs

On an admin front… We are now officially a Public Benefit Organisation and we shifted from members based to a more efficient and pro-active governed body – our very own UP Board of Directors.

We did our second “joy tour” in June 2014 & gave joy talks to hundreds of adults, MAfrika performances to over 2000 previously disadvantaged school kids and found a new rooting for our joyful work.

We have been successfully running #hula4loVe online since February 2014 – inspiring hundreds of folk globally to help co-create circles of love around the world, by sending us the minutes that their bodies are spent hOOping. Folk send in their minutes on social media and so far we have logged in excess of 71 000 minutes… each minute equals a virtual kilometer, which means we have so far created the first circle around the world (41 500kms) and we are now over half way into our second circle (29 500kms). THE IDEA IS FOLK ARE INSPIRED TO MOVE INTENTIONALLY WITH LOVING KINDNESS AND those loving minutes logged are virtually CIRCLING LOVE AROUND THE WORLD. The bonus is The UP has been selling hoops around South Africa as FUNdraising tools, to support our on-going sustainability. We’ve sold over 200 hOOps so far and donated about 180 hOOps to children from previously disadvantaged community.

So with big UPpenings on the UP & UP - we are super yay excited for 2015 as the joy movement grows. Also we’ve moved our base camp UP office - UP to KZN. And we are gearing ourselves UP for a year long “JOY TOUR” in 2016 - making this year one of strengthening our work in the main provinces and planting seeds for next years biggest #joymovement yet.  

The UP Plans in a nutshell for 2015 are:

Care Clowning Trainings every couple of months for  Cape Town, Gauteng, KZN & start in Mpumalanga & Namibia

Support JOYful School Care Clown Training & visits in Gauteng & Cape Town & potentially KZN

Run an online Care Clown Training for global joy catalysts to learn and share joy

Continue running global #joymovement campaigns like #hula4loVe #ark #88days #MASSS and synergise with global partners like http://wavesofkindness.org/ & http://www.kindspring.org/challenge/

Produce UPlifting youtube clips & articels to keep inspiring the growith of loVe, joy & kindness globally.

S – Self Care: Take the CRAP out (Carbonated, Refined, Artificial, Preservatives) and add more raw plant based food.

S – Spirit: Nurture strength of spirit… Take time to pray and or meditate everyday… at least 10mins… Make sure you have a GRATITUDE ATTITUDE… Say thank you for at least 3 things in your life.

S – Share: Take the time to share with others, with your team, tell them how this new way of life is going and share with your family #ARK family #ARK

My dearest Soul Sister Manon Ossevoort… one of the most courageous beings that I know, is about to embark on the final stage of her epic dream. She’s taking a tractor to the end of the world, to complete her dream of driving a tractor from Holland to the South Pole… As she jumps into a plane with her red tractor to head to the Antarctica…

I want to send her so much loVe and appreciation for her bold courage and inspiration. She’s already travelled 38 000kms and now she’ll get to reach the middle of the South Pole and that image of a scarf and a globe, is the memory stick that holds all the dreams she’s collected.

She’s a gift to this planet, she’s an earth angel inspiring us all to live our dreams, no matter how crazy they seem…

So Manon - safe travels dear sister - God Bless…

Circling circles of loVe around our bodies, we activate inner peace, harmony, joy and loVe for ourselves - now every one of those minutes spent hula-hooping count - to help co-create VIRTUAL CIRCLES of loVe around the world too.

That’s right hooping folks… Our fun-loving hula-hopping minutes are converted into virtual kilometers and they make up virtual circles of loVe that go around the world. So far Cape Town & Johannesburg South Africa, Sunshine Coast Australia, Texas & Hawaii USA have been sending minutes - we hope ALL other world hOOpers will step up and log their minutes #hula4loVe.

Between all our posted comments on facebook, twitter, tumblr, instagram we have logged a collective 36495kms. Each circle of loVe is about 40590kms and we hope to co-create at least 10 circles of loVe by Feb 2015.
