There really was a disparity of gifts in LTG. Shane gets Ilya a foosball table, which he loves. But foosball requires two people to play, and he and Ilya are apart for large amounts of time. Ilya never has anyone over anymore in this new setting. It will sit as a reminder of Ilya's loneliness. Ilya gets Shane one of the only photos they have together and from when they were starting out, but Shane feels he can only put it in the cottage where no one else would see it. He's too afraid to possibly have someone find out about his partner and sexuality. I love angst.

So, like, they'd have to end season two on the proposal, yes?
