“It’s sad you think I’d listen to that. But, what’s the matter, tin can? Do I make you feel inadequate?”

“You? Making me feel inadequate? You really are mad if you think that’s true! I am quite confident enough in myself as a man, thank you very much.”

“Hmmm, nah. The ladies can’t resist this hot bod after all~”

“Have you no shame!? Cover yourself immediately!”

“Did you just.. flirt with my sister, Chrom?”

“I did yeah, and kinda flubbed that didn’t I..”

“At least you aren’t trying to lie about it. Though I wouldn’t necessarily call it a ‘flub’.. More like you went about it the wrong way. May I ask why you decided to try such a line on her?”

Do they take the initiative? Or will they be flustered and shy? Maybe they won’t care at all, or they’ll try and run away?

“See, I was kinda hopin’ I could get your blessing, because…I wanna propose to Nix. I know you don’t exactly approve of me, but I promise to make her happy and protect her forever. I swear on my life. She’s been a huge part of my life and I love her more than anything. So…?”

Sure his occupation as a thief was a glaring problem but his sister didn’t seem bothered by it so far. Ultimately it was Nix’s happiness that swayed Tharros’ decision on the issue. If she loved Gaius and was happy with him so far, there was no way he was going to step in the middle of that and make her unhappy. “You are correct that I haven’t approved of you in the past. You are a thief and a cocky human being that lands himself in trouble.. Though you have kept your promise of making Nix happy and safe so far. Any injuries she has sustained weren’t the result of failure on your part.” Tharros took a step forward, placing a hand on the other’s shoulder. A small smile came to his lips as he gave a small nod. “You have my blessing, Gaius.. Just remember that if you break your promise, you will answer to me. Got it?”
