Due to recent events I was thinking about how I rate the one-time WDCs of the last thirty or so years (no further than 90s or so because 1) I don't know them that well, 2) anyone who was driving an f1 car before that was absolutely insane just for doing it in the first place)

Raikkönen / Rosberg - one was insanely talented, the other simply insane, absolutely deserved 10/10, almost insulting to include them in this list

Mansell - frankly I do not know enough about the guy but he was consistently there in the 80s and had to deal with one of the most insane grids ever so I'll give him that

Button - highly forgettable but he had a few great drives in his career, otherwise no point to pretend this is not a place won by personality, sorry not sorry I am charmed by this golden retriever

Villeneuve - ok LISTEN the guy is unbearable and didn't deliver much in terms of driving but at least he fought for it! at least he got crashed out by Schumacher! that's something!

Damon Hill / Norris - violently mediocre and doesn't even have the personality points to make up for it
