X-Factor #1 | Cover Date: Feb, 1986
I very much wonder what Warren would have said if Madelyne had answered (especially if Candy was around)
X-Factor #1 | Cover Date: Feb, 1986
The beginning of the assassination of Madelyne Pryor's character. Not that I think her reaction is unwarranted, just odd after she's had basically an opposite personality in past issues. Maybe you can chalk it up to her just recently giving birth (COMPLETELY ALONE IN A KITCHEN BTW) and Scott not being super present, but I don't buy this "nagging wife" (gross) narrative, except as a way to trick readers into being okay with what Scott is about to do.
@severalmoremutants
@severalmoremutants to be clear, I completely agree with you. This issue and some of the upcoming stuff makes me think they were somehow trying to get people to sympathize more with Scott since he's about to run off to see Jean and Jim Shooter wanted Madelyne gone but maybe I'm reaching because I'm extremely pro-Maddie lmao. I don't think she's wrong or nagging that's why I put it in quotations and said gross, it just felt like a shift.
