“My best friend has been diagnosed with MS.

On April 17th, 2019 she has her first appointment with a specialist in NYC. Unfortunately, her insurance does not cover the visits to the necessary specialist. The first appointment will cost $800 and $500 for follow ups. She needs at least 2-3 visits before she can transfer to an associate who does take her insurance. 

There is no way around these appointments, they are vital for her every day life and for receiving the correct treatment. As a teacher for troubled teens she and her husband rely on her income and, as you know, a teacher’s salary is ridiculously low. Without proper treatment she won’t be able to work and this is unacceptable. She loves her job, she loves life and I love her.

I have, unfortunately, no other way of helping her. Which is, why I decided to try this option to raise enough funds for her appointments and the necessary travel expenses.
