The fairyâs brows rose as the other mumbled under her breath, but knowing that she was not meant to hear what her new companion said Nichell made no effort to respond. Spinning on her heel once again, Nichell continued her journey while walking backwards, sidestepping any obstacles without pause.
She pursed her lips as she considered how to answer the otherâs question. âI donât care much for the Court life. Iâve been journeying for some time now, searching forâŚmisplaced things.â Her words trailed off and a slightly irritated expression fell across her face. âBesides, if I had to sit around and listen to that nitwit Arabella talk about her stupid lilac flowers for another eon then I would probably leave the Court all together.â
"Surely your... misplaced things, can't be that difficult to find?" Evaline asks conversationally. With magic at their disposal, searching should be easy - so whatever it is she's searching for must be peculiar indeed.Â
When the other fairy complains about someone going on about flowers, Evaline can't help but smirk to herself. What else can you expect from the Spring Court? Although it's amusing that a Spring fairy seems about as fed up with such nonsense as non-Spring fae.Â
"Why haven't you left properly, then? If you're not there much anyway..." Evaline doesn't hold any anticipation for striking up a friendship with the fairy, but she certainly doesn't want to offend her only guide, so she asks the question carefully. The idea of leaving any court intrigues her, mostly because such a thing simply isn't done in the Winter Court.Â
