40,000 feet

I drew very little this year. While that would usually depress me, I think taking a step back from art and drawing has really helped me get back into a better headspace. Finding other hobbies*, planning a wedding, letting myself rest and heal when I needed to. My tablet will always be here when I want to come back to it, WIPs can be completed later, ideas can be worked on when the inspiration strikes. As long as I'm alive, there's the opportunity to return and finish things.

Abandoning twitter completely also helped a tonne. Having a modicum of popularity on my XIV account inflated my ego far too much, and chasing big numbers was always so exhausting. Bluesky is so much more relaxing in that respect. I could post 5 times a day or post nothing for 3 months and come back with a bunch of art to post. Oh you're still here? Cool! When will I be back next? Who knows! It's no one's business anyway! (I guess tumblr's kinda like that too, but you don't really get my inane thoughts and life updates here).

Anyway, whether you've only just found me recently, or have been following for years, thanks for sticking with me and liking my art.
