Do you have any recommendations for some fics where one of them is married/in a relationship and unhappy until the other one shows up and changes the course of things?
Appreciate all your efforts đź–¤
Hello! Check out our #abusive relationship tag for fics like this. For some reason I thought you'd asked for Aziraphale being in an unhappy relationship so I had six of those ready to go before realising you hadn't specified. So I added a couple with Crowley being in an unhappy relationship too...
Coming into Bloom by pinkplaidmoonshine (E)
Ezra Fell is trapped in a mentally abusive relationship.
Crowley has loved him from a distance for much too long.
Can Ezra break away for something so much better? Or will his own fears and insecurities keep him where he is?

I love you. I love you so much it’s hard to believe this is real. That this is my life now. That I can hold you and kiss you whenever I want. No one else gets to say that I can’t. I love you. I’ll love you forever if you’ll let me.
My Fall Makes No Sound Here by Eliqu (E)
Anthony J. Crowley is a fulltime working 31 year old man living his life from day to day, struggling to make ends meet. His life follows a basic routine, until he meets an actual angel. Okay, maybe not an ACTUAL angel, but no one could blame him for assuming the adorable, kind hearted man is anything but human. Too bad the angel has a boyfriend. But then Crowley realises Aziraphale’s boyfriend is more than just an arsehole.
Or the one where human Crowley and human Aziraphale meet on a bench and all is well, until it very quickly is not. Happy ending guaranteed!
Triggers will be listed at the beginning of each chapter accordingly!
Flawless by black_earth, ghostrat (E)
When Crowley had snaked himself across the bar top, half purring, half snarling for Aziraphale to live a little, this wasn’t exactly what he meant by it. Not exclusively, anyway. If there was a list of possibilities, it may have been on there somewhere; scrawled as a hasty afterthought, perhaps under a subheading of Things That Would Surely Never Actually Happen.
But the sight of Aziraphale lying naked and debauched in the middle of his black satin sheets was not something he was about to hesitate over.
(If there was a second list, one surreptitiously scribbled on a napkin in the dark corner of a crowded bar, it would be titled Things Crowley Had No Right To Crave As Much As He Did, and it would start and end with this single bullet point)
The Very Best Man by LadyFromPoland (E)
Crowley had feelings for Aziraphale for a very long time. He never confessed them because he didn't want to ruin what they had. Aziraphale was in a few relationships during their friendship but none of them lasted long. Then Aziraphale met Gabriel and after a year of relationship they got engaged. It broke Crowley's heart. Moreover, Aziraphale asked him to be his best man and he could not refuse, even though it was a terrible idea. Aziraphale deserved better than Gabriel. Crowley decided to at least give Aziraphale a stag party to remember. The one that Aziraphale was going to enjoy. He couldn't know it would change everything.
Crawling Back To You by madrabbitwrites (NR)
College-age Aziraphale pushed his closest friend away and moved out of town with his married Literature professor in a panicked attempt at escaping his family’s rampant homophobia. Years later, devastated by a dreadful break-up, he’s returned to his small hometown to live with his brother and attempt to heal his broken heart (and broken life, if he were being honest with himself). What he didn’t count on was his old friend Crawley- now calling himself Crowley and looking dashing as ever- to have returned as well.
Crawley’s wounds from their last argument are deep and Aziraphale may never be able to regain what they once had, but he’d certainly like to try. The two of them need to have an actual conversation, but that’s not really how these plots go, is it?
come on darling, let's be lovers by shoebox_addict (E)
“I love the waistcoat.”
The man beamed at him. “Thank you. I know it’s a rather old-fashioned style, but it makes me feel put together for the day.”
“Makes you look put together, too,” said Crowley, and nearly bit his own tongue. “I mean, that is...you always look very nice.”
Now it was definitely not his imagination; the man’s eyes were practically twinkling.
The Garden of Temptation by tishae (E)
Anthony J Crowley is a gardener in the small village of Tadfield, making barely enough to get by. He rents a room, doesn't eat or drink much, but he's getting to live his 'passion', whatever that means.
Aziraphale Godfrey, a professional antiques dealer, is engaged and he has no reason to be unhappy. He has a wonderful apartment, is taken care of, and only sometimes is he made to feel small and inadequate.
When Crowley comes into an inheritance that includes a number of items that he's pretty sure are junk, he is way out of his depth, and readily calls up a professional to help him work through it. Turns out they both have a lot to unpack.

I wanted to write about sad Aziraphale becoming happy Aziraphale, so here we are.
Why Does the Ortolan Sing? by OneDapperCat (E)
Following his mother’s death, Azira sets out to prepare his family’s bookshop for reopening. While appreciating the shop’s new sign, he hears the beckon of a siren’s song sounding from the coffee shop over the road. He succumbs to temptation to find the source of the hypnotic voice is an auburn-haired songbird. Intrigued by the singer’s beauty and haunted by his apparent loneliness, Azira is determined to introduce himself. There’s only one problem: the musician’s menacing, jealous, and possessive partner.
