Critics went in one ear and out the other, like the questions he never caught from interviewers. How many times had he embarrassed himself now? Didn’t matter. He was having fun with it, Gorillaz was back, and essentially, he didn’t think there was anything to complain about (except maybe the fact his therapist keeps saying “Stockholm Syndrome”-- whatever that meant).

Before he can think, Noodle swipes a doughnut, and of course it’s the most colorful of the bunch, the first to catch his eye. He gives her a look but is quickly enticed by a chocolate one anyways.
