Happy disability pride month to those that feel a scorching jealousy towards able bodied people. Happy disability pride month to those that cry and scream because of pain, frustration and sadness. Happy disability pride month to those that feel an unending, suffocating loneliness. Happy disability pride month to those that feel themselves falling behind. Happy disability pride month to those that thought about ending their lives because of their fate. Happy disability pride month to those that wish they were never born with their afflictions, never born at all

This month is to celebrate you, celebrate us, as much as anyone else. You don't have to "get over it", you don't have to let it go. It's horrible. It's unfair. It's shitty and nobody has the right to tell you otherwise just because our suffering makes them uncomfortable

Scream. Cry. Do whatever the hell you need to do to survive and don't let anybody tell you that you're doing it wrong. You don't need to be grateful for the fact that you're alive. You don't need to be grateful because "others have it worse"
