Mark sighs, looking from her to the packed bag hanging over his shoulder, and back at her. 

“Oh my Gran was the absolute best,” Lottie said with a laugh, reaching up to push some of her bangs out of her face a bit. She blinked, looking back to Erin with surprise. “Coffee?” she asked, not sure she had heard right. People don’t usually ask her to do anything with them unless it involved her skills as an artist. “Yeah, I’d love that,” she said with a smile. It would be nice, Lottie did need to get away from her studio more.

“Yeah, or tea or cocoa if you prefer that, I’m not dead set on the coffee aspect of it.” Erin smiled nervously, running her hand through her purple hair. “Alright, good then. Do you know any good coffee shops in town?” Still being a new resident she hadn’t properly checked out the coffee scene yet.

“You don’t have to tell me, I know, but it’s nice to hear.” Adam never thought must on it, to him, it was something known and to say it was strange. In a good way. Maybe this is what people did in healthy relationships.  “I don’t say it either, but you’re really all I’ve got and I’m grateful for you too.”

{Emerson} I honestly bet it feels like the first time you’ve ever preformed again, you’re free and everything is better. You’re an amazing actress, but I get the feeling this will be your best yet! I am SO proud of you!!

{Emerson} I wouldn’t miss it for the world! I live for Poetic Hopelessness, it’s what brought us together as friends after all. 

{Emerson} Honestly I am too! It’s been so long since WE hung out and even longer since I’ve heard about him. It will a reunion and one I need! I cannot tell you how excited I’ve been for it. 

{Sarah} It absolutely does! And it’s so good to hear that you have faith in me. 

{Sarah} You’re such a good friend, Em, I honestly don’t know what I’d do without your support. 

“Well seeing as I just finished unpacking from moving all my shit from LA, I’d be hoping I’d stay for a bit.” Zach laughed, shaking his head. “But honestly, I’d love to hear it. It isn’t often that a fan makes something inspired by my work that isn’t a fan fiction of two characters who have never interacted fucking each other.” Okay, that might have been too much information, but Zach was always confused by that one. Mostly because that one was printed out, gift wrapped, and then mailed directly to his house. He cleared his throat and took the card before taking out his phone and texting the number printed on the card right away.

“Alright then, that’s good,” Colin smiled. “Oh, really? I mean I’m not trying to hate on fan fiction writers, but I see how that might be weird for you.” He watched the film maker pull out his phone, an almost child like excitement taking over him. Seconds later his own phone beeped and he pulled it up to open the message. “Great, I’ll reach out one of these days so we can set up something. I’m honestly thrilled about this. But, enough of me fanboying here, what brings you here? Are you making a new movie?” 

I wish mine had improved, but it still looks like a child just learning how to hold a pencil. My mother used to joke that I should become a doctor, I’d fit right in with my chicken scratch. Mason paused to take a sip of his drink. He tried to avoid handwriting anything as much as possible. It could be just as frustrating as someone trying to read his hand motions. 

Too long honestly, but there’s not many places willing to hire a student who can’t speak. I didn’t think I’d be hired here at all, but management is actually pretty accommodating. I never have to interact with the customers directly, I just read labels and blend things, then after shift I do my homework using the free wifi. Mason laughed to himself then, looking at the other woman. I’m Mason, by the way. What’s your name?

Ellen chuckled as he talked about his handwriting. It kind of took me a while to learn to sign, so I had to rely on handwriting for a while, she admitted, blushing slightly. 

That is great to hear though, that management is accommodating like that. It seems like a decent place. I worked in a coffee shop back home one summer. So she’s a bit nervous about making conversation, and maybe he doesn’t need to know about her summer job two years ago, but she doesn’t talk to a lot of people these days. 

“If you tell me that you’re Juno, then you’re Juno.” Was all Alfie had to say in regards to the noise needed to get her attention. Humans are such odd creatures, he thought to himself, looking back to the cat. He held his hand out to the small black creature and let her sniff at his extended fingers. “All I need to know is when I’ve got to give you my portion of the rent and the utilities.”

“Oh yeah, as long as you’ve got it in by the fifteenth we’re good.” The cat sniffed at Alfie’s fingers and gave them a few gentle licks, before rubbing her head against it. “Seems like she likes you,” Juno noted cheerfully. “So I’ve cleared out two shelves and a drawer for you in the fridge, and half the freezer, and a few cupboards, and the empty shelves in the bookshelf over there are for you. If you need anything else let me know.”
