Please consider writing for gender neutral, or even male readers, and readers of other genders. We exist, and it is very hard for us to find stories on this website.

If you only write for female readers: Please don’t just say that it’s a ‘character abc x reader’ fic. It can easily misinterpreted as a story for gender neutral readers. Specify the gender of the reader on your fics, that shows some support as well.

Give blog recommendations of writers who write for readers of other genders as well. That helps a lot.

You hummed softly to yourself as you waited for Rowena to emerge from behind the changing screen. Today was hopefully the last day of fitting for her gown for the Royal celebration tomorrow. You had already made the last of the adjustments and this was her trying on the finished product, you were just here to make sure there weren’t any damages it may have received in transport or any emergency adjustments you could make on site. 

“Whoever decided that women should wear dresses instead of trousers, is more evil than a rancor,” you hear the Queen call from behind the screen, harsh rustling sounds following her comment. 

You let out a small chuckle at her words and stand from your position on the chaise, setting your book aside. “Do you need help, My Queen?” 

She huffs, “If it makes this go any faster, then yes.”

If you can, buy a large umbrella and walk holding it. Studies say that predators are less likely to attempt an attack on someone that could fight back. Keys around your knuckles is fine but you’ll need to get very close to do damage. Umbrellas are more precise.

Avoid wearing headphones if you are alone on an empty street. Look aware.

Entering an uber alone? Call your father (or anyone you trust) and say “hey dad! Yep, I’m almost there, I’m sending you the route.” outloud. Then proceed to send them the route so they can follow the uber drive. This will most likely intimidate the predator.

If you see someone in an uncomfortable or possibly dangerous situation, walk up to them and say “Betty, oh my god, I haven’t seen you in so long!”. If she gets slightly confused, you can whisper and let her know you’re trying to help and that she should follow along. Walk together to another station or away from where you are. The man will most likely not follow. I have done this one 2 times and can be very helpful.

If you are unsure she needs help, you can pass her a note saying something like “hey, I noticed this man beside you is making you uncomfortable. If you’d like help, fake a sneeze right now and I will come up to you and pretend we are friends.” This is a long note, but its an example. Be discrete. If she follows along, proceed with the previous tip. This is helpful when you’re in a crowded train and you notice harassment.

So as you’ve probably seen, I am slowly getting back on tumblr and it is kinda fun! For Valentine’s Day, I’d like to do a little ‘event’ to spread some love. It is: A Love Letter To Creators

From now on until February 14th, you can send in “love letters” about your favourite blog(s) via ask or submission or dms, they can be a as long as you like. Tell me how you found them, why you followed them and what you love about them. They don’t need to be specifically fanfiction writers but can be any type of creators on this platform.

I have seen similar events over Christmas or for follower celebrations and I think we cannot have enough appreciation and love on this platform! All day on February 14, I will post the asks and submissions and tag the mentioned blogs so that everyone can wake up and have a wonderful surprise.

For this event, I will also open anon asks. Please note that any hate will be ignored and immediately blocked and deleted because I don’t have time on my hands to deal with you guys ✌
