kuvira as an unreliable narrator.

Kuvira who believes her parents abandoned her because they didn’t want/like her. Vs. Kuviras parents who were likely afraid of her and scared for their own physical safety and unable to help/control her.

Kuvira who never felt like part of the Beifong family. Vs. Suyin who saw her as a daughter.

Kuvira who thought she was helping and saving people. Vs. The damage and destruction she caused.

Kuvira who couldn’t understand why people wouldn’t forgive her. Vs. The pain and suffering she caused.

kuvira who thought the Beifongs didn’t love her/betrayed her. Vs. The Beifongs coming to begin to forgive her/Suyin taking partial blame for how she turned out.

kuvira: Becomes a murderous dictator who blew up a city and beat up the avatar.

how do yall feel about psychopathic personality Kuvira. It’s not the same as ASPD.

it’s characterized by impaired empathy, boldness, egocentric traits, antisocial behavior, an inclination to violence, and manipulation as well as masking as calmness or charm.

and we know Kuvira is incredibly charismatic as well as excelling in manipulation. She’s also shown to be hostile and violent at times but mainly maintaining a calm exterior. We also know as shown in both the comics and the show that she portrays a lack in empathy and guilt. While she does say that she regrets things, it’s mainly just her saying it. And while she may attempt to atone and get better. We never see her really FEEL it.

she also just seems to have a difficult time really understanding how she’s wrong and bad even if she acknowledges when she’s done bad things.

im not saying she’s evil, because she’s not. And she does do good things and attempt to redeem herself. It’s just a part of who she is which again doesn’t make her evil.
