Listening to the Deus Ex: Human Revolution score while doing my daily walk made me realize that my teenage/young adult obsession with radical body alteration in the form of cyborgs was less about superficial “isn’t that cool” and more about “the intimate and very trans coded power of bodily autonomy and transformation.”

Desperate aching need to write a fic about Adam’s augments being something sudden, unwanted, and a huge adjustment for him, versus Vaclav nearly always having had augments and viewing them as part of himself, even as they changed and updated, and not really knowing anything other than having augments but I’m at WORK
