Okay, so I probably should've explained this a while ago to you bud, but now is better than never. Forgive me if I sound a bit mean spirited and/or fun police coded, I'm just trying to get you to understand my point of view.

I get that you are a huge fan of Happy × Sunshine, and I'll admit I ship them as well (though I'm not the type of fan who makes ships, I'm more of a "this character is so adorable I'm going to over analyze them and love them", kind of fan), but you kind of act like those Fruitcake shippers from Dandy's World who get extremely defensive over Sprout and Cosmo being shipped with other characters. Now, I never saw you send death threats, which is good I guess, but it's still a bit much to comment "Sunshine × Happy is better" whenever you come across a ship that includes one of them and another character. There is no wrong way to ship in this fandom (unless it's Whoops × Bump, which I'm not going to punish you for if you genuinely didn't know they were siblings or are using it to cope, but if it's the latter, I'm just going to say pair it with therapy for better results)

And regarding one of your comments that I linked at the top, the post wasn't a ship. There was a time Roger Hargreaves made a few comic strips with the MMLM characters, and one of them included Miss Sunshine being an astrology girlie. I took inspiration from that when drawing the comic strip you commented on, and the only Yuri I've ever taken a liking to in this fandom is Naughty × Scary, so there really was no reason to say that on my post.

Let me repeat, I also ship Sunshine and Happy, I am not telling you it isn't cannon, I am letting you continue to ship them together until the end of time, but you need to understand that there are other people who ship them with others. Everyone has different opinions about shipping, and you need to understand and at least tolerate that. I'm honestly not that bothered about ships, in fact, I don't care much about shipping in fandoms, but if you genuinely tweak out over that stuff, you can always just mark it as not interested or just block them. I've done that every time I came across Christians on TikTok and it works wonders.

1. Ao3 Site Stats

Not like the stats for each user, but a site wide tracker. You can see how many fics are on the site, how many users are on the site, the most used tag, the ship with the least works on it, et cetera.

Why should we add it? Because numbers go brr and so we can learn more about this coveted digital Library of Alexandria.

And there's no cons to adding this as far as I know.

2. Tag Moderation

Remember that fic that had every fucking tag known to man (all I remember about it was that the media was most likely a Chinese sit com or visual novel), crashed the site multiple times, and lead to the 75 tag limit? Or maybe the time that someone forgot an important tag like non-con and left you speechless

Well, ever since some purists started bitching about better moderating as if Ao3 was not made because of that specific bullshit and heard the horrors of someone forgetting to tag something important, I had an idea for a comprimise.

Tag Moderation!!

It's simple, they check your fic and check your tags to see if they match up. If there is a tag that needs to be added, they add it. If a tag is not mentioned in the fic, they remove it (this mostly applies to wrangled tags, fandom identifying, shipping, and the big three [Violence, Non-con, and Incest])

You will get a notification explaining what happened if the mods change your fic's tags, and it usually doesn't mean you're being punished so long as you aren't purposely being a dick and tagging everything but the kitchen sink.

Pros: Fixes the tagging issues, makes it easier to find fics you like and sift out the ones you don't.

Cons: More stress on the moderators who are already working overtime.

So in conclusion, Ao3 could add site stats and/or tag moderation to make the site just a bit better in my opinion
