Life happens when you're busy making plans

Portia snatched the candyfloss aggressively from the other person’s hand. “Oi you, hands off,” she ordered, throwing some of it in her mouth. “I payed for that, I eat it. You got that?”

“Loud and clear. Love the Christmas spirit you’re displaying.”

“I know I’m wearing a Santa hat. It’s on my head. You really don’t need to keep pointing it out.”

“But it’s so adorable!”

“I can try and teach you how to Ice Skate…You’d have to hold my hand, though. And, um- trust me.”

“Hmmm, how about no? I do not want to go home from this bruised and sore.”

Luisa pulled Ollie’s lips back to hers. She enjoyed physical contact more than anything, but not in the same way as most girls. “Time will still be there afterwards. There is plenty of time,” she mumbled breathlessly through the kiss.

“You seem quite sure about that,” Ollie said before pressing feather light, teasing kisses against her face and neck, the plans he’d made with his friends that morning forgotten in the moment. Being with Luisa felt different than what he was used to, and he wanted to revel in it whilst he could, slowly working his way back to her mouth, a searing kiss following his return.

“Meh, fuck it.”

“No, I really don’t have time for this. I have to get my nephew in fifteen minutes. I’m so incredibly sorry.”

May could feel the alcohol coursing through her slightly as she stared at Ollie, giving another casual shrug. “I-I don’t know..” She admitted softly, maybe apart of her wanted to let loose and not think about everything for a short moment. “Sorry..” She muttered, already regretting her actions. 

His slight smirk softened at her words, and he noticed that her eyes were a little glassed over. She was drunk, or coming off the effects of drinking. Holding her hands in his, Ollie said, “I don’t accept your apology, because you have nothing to be sorry about.”

“Sorry, it was just for fun.”

“May, wait. I was telling my brother that, not you,” Ollie showed her the phone in his hand, his brother’s voice faint on the other end of the line. Quickly disconnecting with his brother, Ollie turned all of his focus to May, asking with a playful hint of a smirk, “Now, what was that greeting you gave me, really?”

“Gah, this place is going to take some getting used to. It’s so different from New York.”

“I’ve got dreams of going to New York. At least professionally. On a personal level, I couldn’t care less... Okay, maybe I do care a little.”
