Imo the dcamu movies are a clear proof that Kory and Dick as a couple with him in the batfamily and her with the Titans not only works perfectly well, but also very beautiful. In most of those movies Nightwing moved between Gotham and Bludhaven, while Starfire became the leader of the Titans. They were both doing their jobs independently and during all that time they maintained a very loving and healthy relationship as a commited couple. Hell, he even became BATMAN and the plan was for him to propose to Starfire and their marriage to take place.
