“I’m probably just weird though. Although I’ve heard of this happening to a few other people, so maybe its a collective community of weird people like me. I should find my people. I feel like I don’t even get the buzz, or maybe I’m just immune to it at this point. I do eat and drink a lot of things with caffeine. My mom drinks about three a day, so I don’t blame you. I used to hate the taste, but I actually love it now, minus the fact that I just want to curl up and sleep when I have it.”

“Yeah, I think so. Maybe you guys have different like...buzzes--maybe other things get you coffee high, that doesn’t give other people the buzz. We could start a kickstarter for you group of weirdos. Well, I can’t ever have like...a black coffee or something without like, a litre of syrup and a pound of sugar, you know? I think that might be because I’m Canadian, though, we’re a sweet bunch.”

“But if I’m distracting you too, then we’d both be distracted, which might actually be more fun than sitting through some of these movies.  Because from what I hear, a lot of them suck anyway.  And we could still go see the new one.  Just… I might not know everything going on yet.”

“Why don’t we just book a date to get distracted, then? One that’s not the same date as our supposed Marvel marathon! We can just review each film first, see if the ratings are worth the time--but...I mean, couldn’t we just read the synopsis...es? synopsi? of each movie instead?”

So she really wasn’t that big on coffee.  It was too bitter for her liking, but, the stress of school really was taking its toll and it seemed that it was a struggle to stay awake at this point.  “Do I look that much like I’m an extra on the Walking Dead?  And here I thought I was holding it together so well.  Are you sure though?  Because if you’d rather have it,  since, well… you bought it, you don’t have to give it to me.  I can survive.”

“Yeah, but more like if one of the main’s got bit, so not as bad as you could...but definitely a little rough. No offence, though I feel like it’s better to be told the truth. I can give you some concealer if you need, maybe some blush to get life back into those cheeks. Well, I’m pretty sure the rule of a debutante is no takebacksies, so I guess if you really don’t want it then I won’t make you, but I don’t think I’m allowed to take it back from you by my choice. I’m not a debutante but that seems like a rule they’d have, you know? It’s a mocha, though, which added vanilla and I always pay for extra chocolate sprinkles on top, so it’s very...Olivia-esque and candy centred if that helps.”

“Whoa, that’s super nice. I really need it too. Although sometimes coffee makes me super drowsy. I don’t know if that’s normal considering coffee has caffeine in it and stuff, but thanks anyways. Why did you have two? This wasn’t for someone who like, stood you up or anything is it? ‘Cause then I’d feel real bad about taking your coffee.”

“Yeah, I thought so. I don’t think it should do that, you know? Because of yeah...the caffeine, it’s supposed to make you not drowsy--though, I guess after the coffee buzz it does kind of make you want to die. I always drink two, especially midweek, how else am I supposed to get anything done? But also, I just really really really like coffee.”

“I think that just means I need someone to help me change that fact.  Maybe a movie night with all the ones I haven’t gotten to yet?  And if we end up getting distracted during them, then so be it.”

“Oh, right, that can be done--Yeah, I can do that, we can sort that out. Um, no, no, no, you will not get distracted, or we’d have to do the whole thing over again and knowing you, you’d find a way to get distracted again, and then I’d still have no one to go watch the new one with.”

“I feel like such a fake.  The new Avengers movie comes out next month, and I still haven’t seen like… three of the last films.  Somehow, this needs to change.  Immediately.”

“Finn,” she started, clearing her throat. “I’m not being funny, but who the heck am I supposed to watch Infinity War with if you’re not even caught up? What a joke.”

“Yes, we’d definitely need both of those.  Maybe even some of those red hots too, just to spice things up.  And I’m just saying, that I’d like to see you do that stuff because I think it’d be really cool.  No, I want you to be friends with her because I think the two of you could be really good friends.  I am!”

“They make my face go numb but in a good way so let’s do it, I love spice and everything nice. If you can get me drunk enough, then yes, but otherwise, my secret Mrs Incredible skills are a secret, since you know, secret identities and what not. She just seems to like more bold people than me, like you, Dakota, even Seb, I don’t think I suit her crowd but I will attempt it since I want you to be happy and this obviously means something to you. Not to girls, you’re not, Finn. We’re smarter than that.”

“Very true.  And, probably some good candy too every once in a while.  I guess I just wanted to see what you could do.  Piper is… a tough nut to crack.  You can think you’re friends with her and then she just throws you for about twelve curve balls and you’re left wondering if you really were.  Because I’m precious?”

“Skittles are a must, maybe even M&Ms, too. Well, I can do stuff, you know, like cartwheels and those bridge thingies, and the splits to name a few. So you want me to be friends with her so I’m left wondering whether she actually liked me or not? Sounds like a plan ready to fail. Oh, honey, of course you are.”

“I could probably watch all these movies and never move and be pretty content for forever.  He really was.  I don’t believe you’re that flexible.  I mean, feel free to prove me wrong, but if I don’t see it, then I can’t confirm it.  Then you just want to work to become her friend, and she’ll care about you.  Um, excuse you.  Boys rule and girls drool.  But I’d be so much fun.”

“We’d have to get up for popcorn refills, a movie day with no treats is no good at all. I don’t have the ability to stretch myself into new lengths quite like she can, but I’ve got some skills, I don’t need you to validate it for me. Okay, I’d like to think I was friends with everyone anyway, but I’ll push a little harder. Why would we let you in if you just said we drool? You’ll never know.”

“Still a good movie, though.  Sucks Tommy had to die because he was probably the coolest character, but overall, it was fine.  No one ever could, because we’re just that incredible.  She really is great, but you can’t let her scariness deter you from getting to know her.  Because she just kind of puffs up to make it look like she doesn’t care, but she does.  That sounds like a fake rule.  Guys should totally be invited to slumber parties.  I party and I slumber, so I meet all the qualifications of attending one.  Alright, alright, it’ll be on me.”

“Ah, yes, they all are. Most, at least. He was pretty cool, wasn’t he? Good looking, as well. Mr and Mrs Incredible, quite literally. I’m super flexible. And you’re definitely stronger than me, so it works. I’ll try, but I mean, whether she’ll let me poke into her business is another question. She cares about people like you because you’re her friend, I doubt she cares about everyone. It’s 100% a real rule since boys drool. Maybe you are qualified, but that doesn’t mean you’re invited.”

“And red paint just seems like a whole lot less effort.  Bloody joke.. I get it.  That’s cute.  I think we should bring out all the stops if he says no.  But, of course, he’s not going to tell us no.  People might disagree.  You could ask her.  Honestly, as long as you put forth a little effort and make her think that you really do want to get to know her, she’s fine.  Just don’t get too crazy at your slumber party with her.  Or, if you do, at least let me come too.  You’re not going to prove me wrong.”

“Exactly, we should just debunk all horrors on their terribleness all the time. I’d have to leave if you didn’t get it. I like your faith in us, because, really, how could anyone say no to us? Both of our puppy dog eyes together and we’d knock him dead. I think it’d be nice to get to know her, so I wouldn’t exactly be faking it. Slumber parties are strictly girls only. Okay, but if I do, and you get annoyed at me, remember it’s your own fault.”

“I think you also have a better outlook on life than she did.  Besides, I can’t see anyone wanting to dump pig blood on you in the first place.  Right?  And mini marshmallows are definitely the best way to get him to agree to it, if he doesn’t want to just for the shits and giggles of the whole thing.  You don’t have to.  She is terrifying, I will give you that, but most of it’s just a front.  She could definitely benefit from having you around.  And you wouldn’t annoy her.  I mean, she puts up with me, so her tolerance is super high.  It’s up to you.  I think you’d be adorable, walking around and singing Disney songs every morning.”

“Yeah, I’d hoped not, and you know, maybe instead of pig’s blood it could be red paint like in White Chicks. Then at least a pig wouldn’t be wasted for a bloody joke. If he still says no, do we respect the decision or bring out all the stops? You’re not annoying, Finn. I guess I’ll give it a go, but I wouldn’t know where to start. Maybe she’ll agree to a slumber party. Fine, just to prove you wrong you can come move into the Demeter cabin--I’ll even help move your booze.”

“I guess maybe she just felt it was the last straw.  Though, I don’t know.  I could probably laugh off being doused in paint, but the pig blood thing would be enough to get me riled up like her.  I think we’re awesome, and if he doesn’t want to hang out with us, then it’s totally his loss.  Occasionally, I do start them if I don’t have anything better to do that afternoon.  Fine.  I’ll pick out everything we do, and we’ll do it.  Somehow, I feel like I’d be able to handle you taking up a lot of my space.  But she might benefit greatly by having some girl there to give her just normal girl advice.  I try to sometimes, but I’m shit at it, so it’d sound better coming from you.  Sounds like we’re both staying put then.”

“I think I’d laugh, but then again I don’t have telekinesis so who knows? Maybe I would go on a little crazy rampage just for the sake of it. I’m sure he’ll want to, I don’t know why he wouldn’t, like you said: we’re awesome, and if he doesn’t think so then I have mini marshmallows to convince him otherwise. There’s always something better to do. Good, I’m looking forward to it. I’ll have to consider it then if you’ll be okay with it all. I wouldn’t know what to say to her, she intimidates me, I think she’s nice but I’m not very good at girly advice either I think I’d just annoy her if I tried. But if it means a lot to you then I’ll try. I think you’d regret it, Finn--do you really want to be woken up by me every day singing Disney songs?” 

“Because you secretly just want to wear a fancy dress and be doused in red paint.  But yeah, we could cut out a third party that way.  That way, we wouldn’t have to worry about him.  Or finding him a costume.  Are you sure though?  Because this riot would be even more of a riot than you’ve probably ever seen before or would ever see again.  My naked adventures are rather fun, but they do need to be secluded so as not to go crazy viral.  You just want to see me have an idea for Christmas?  I could get you anything you wanted, and that’s it?  My brother could probably handle being sibling-less, but if you don’t want me around, I get that too.  You never know when something might happen and you’d be the perfect person to get advice from.  And Piper needs a lot of advice.  Especially with that sort of thing.  Psh, I’d totally let you paint my nails at four in the morning and help me get dressed for a date.  But fine.  I’ll stay where I am.”

“It is tempting, I don’t get why Carrie didn’t just laugh it off and chase everyone while covered in the paint--or blood, or whatever. In a way we’re doing him a favour, who knows if he even wants to hang out with us? I don’t know why he wouldn’t as we’re awesome, but you know, to each their own. You seem pretty familiar with these riots, you cause them a lot in your spare time or? I guess you’ll have to find somewhere secluded to carry them out then. Not just have one, but for us to actually do whatever you want to do, since I usually pick and choose for us. And you couldn’t get me anything. I didn’t say I didn’t want you around, I just think if you feel like a sibling takes up so much room that I’d probably be hell for you. She doesn’t need girl advice, she needs therapy and there’s only so many times you can say ‘and how does that make you feel?’ before it gets condescending. You’re welcome to come over for those reasons anyway. Finn, you can move in if you want, but all your alcohol is at yours, it’d be such an effort to move it all, and I’ve got my plants at mine so I’m not coming to yours.”

“That would be an awesome costume though, not going to lie.  Although, I feel like I’d make a better Tommy Ross than a Carrie White.  But, that’s totally just me.  I do think that might be a good idea, but I also feel like it might start a riot.  So, I might want to wait for a naked Finn to make another appearance.  What can I say?  I’m so understanding that it’s almost annoying.  Yours are just better, so I don’t see why I wouldn’t.  That sounds like all the reasons why I should live with you, though.  I could keep you from getting bored, and I’d come to you for advice constantly.  Or, maybe I could convince Piper to, that way you’d get to feel like you had a sister.  They just… take up way too much space.  I prefer being an only child.  Even if I’m technically not.  I’ll get right on it.”

“I think you’d be a great Tommy Ross--dammit, Finn, why are you making me want to go as Carrie now? At least then we wouldn’t need a Kronk, can we really depend on a third person to put in the same amount of effort and enthusiasm as we would? I can handle a riot. If you feel like being naked in a different situation is better then who am I to stop your naked adventures? It’s definitely not annoying for me. I’d like to see one of your ideas play out though, at least once--that’s what I want for Christmas. If it means I’ll never be bored again then go pack your stuff and welcome aboard the Demeter cabin, but also don’t, because then I’ve just made your brother sibling-less. What advice do you ever need? Again, what does Piper ever need with advice from me? I meant like, advice on which shoes to wear for a first date and painting nails at like four in the morning. You, nor Piper, would do that with me. Maybe you take up too much space. I feel sorry for any newbies who happen to be Dionysus.”

“That would definitely be… a sight.  Probably feel a little more like a Carrie thing being in all that red paint than anything.  Well, probably, but now I feel totally… useless since that isn’t your plan right now.  But, I understand the need for that recognition is greater than me.  Your ideas are always better, so I don’t see a need to come up with any.  I could give you some company in your cabin, you know.  I’ve just never been big on the whole sibling thing.  Definitely.”  

“If being Carrie will make you feel better then I won’t stop you from thinking that. Finn, no one is stopping you from stripping right now if that’s what you want to do, in fact, I encourage it. We’ll always find a use for a naked you. I’m glad you understand, this’d be tricky if you didn’t. That’s not true, you have great ideas, you just always want to go with mine. You can’t live with me, though, I’m bored all the time, I just want someone to come to me for sisterly advice--I think I’d be awesome at it. Why not? I’ve always wanted one, it’s the one thing I hate my parents for making me an only child. You best ask him, then, I don’t want to have to be running around for a replacement Kronk if he doesn’t want to.”
