I was just wondering if I would be able to write a short story based off of certain parts of Close to Impossible for my English class?

I have to write a short story about an important event/moment and focus on conflict and development, and the part in Close to Impossible with Joel and Etho's first fight works perfectly for that prompt, so basically, I was wondering if I could write a more detailed short few paragraphs about Joel's emotions, mental state, and about the conflict in itself?

Obviously it's fine if not, but I thought I'd ask, lol!
