First off, BANGER SONG, but fall out boy has pretty good songs in general imo
Secondly, i remember when i found out about it i thought it was like a "super secret bonus episode" or something haha so it was pretty exciting

The thing is. They've done episodes that were basically ads before, but even if those episodes were ads, when watching them, they would still feel like episodes, ya know? Not only this episode is an ad but it feels so,,, souless,,, like,,,
Also htf never does anything special wih their come backs imo, take Still Alive for example so I DID expect for the episode to be just a regular episode. But that wasnt even an episode like ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
YEAH THATS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING the other game tie ins were all REALLY GOOD EPISODES that if you didnt know were technically ads you wouldnt know! bc all there is about the game is right at the end! theyre just THEMED around them so it still makes you wanna get the game but its enjoyable in its own right! this was just. ugh.

still not shutting up about the new episode sorry im gonna be lethally annoying but like. this felt so SOULLESS to me. i'm not mad about it being a short episode. i'm not even really mad about it being an ad! happy tree friends has done episodes that were ads before! but this wasn't an episode that also happened to be an ad, the way episodes like buns of steal were, this was an ad poorly disguised as an episode. there was no heart to it at all, especially for something they hyped for TWO MONTHS
they teased it for a month then when it was officially announced had us wait for a month and a half. they (mondo AND vixa) did minimal advertising, all that relied on catering to people who were already fans of htf. the most impactful advertising they had was the fanart contest which was getting US to do THEIR work. this wasnt about getting it out to new people this was about getting pre-existing fans nice and desperate so wed be wet enough for them to sufficiently fuck us over
